We stayed at this hotel for the South Beach Wine and Food Festival February 2012. Our first morning we had our sleep disturbed by the slamming doors. Called front desk who sent security to confront the people. Found out that a company was using one of the rooms as their breakfast / meeting area. Make sure when you check-in that you are not next to this. This happened two mornings in a row. Security just placed a door stop on the floor to keep the door from slamming. I did send the hotel a letter of compliant when I got home. The manager called and apologizes but did not offer anything but that. Our second time at this hotel was this past Labor Day Sept. 2012 We had a great time at the pool but again, we were disturbed by noise in the hallways in the early morning hours 2-3am. With so many hotels to choose from, we will be looking for another hotel the next time we visit Miami. BTW, parking is $30.00 a day. Quite pricey!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not next to any type meeting / convention greeting area. The higher rooms give a better view of the ocean!

Dear RJTCR,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. While your stay was over a year ago, we understand the importance of your concerns and value your opinion. Our guests are our number one priority and we are saddened to hear that you felt we did not protect or service you in an acceptable manner. In regards to the noise during South Beach Wine and Food, we apologize for the inconvenience of your room placement and will be sure to express the placement of those rooms to our team so it doesn't happen again. With regards to the noise in the hallways during Labor Day, unfrotunately hotel traffic is common during that weekend throughout South Beach hotels. The clientele are large families or groups looking for a fun weekend of relaxation and celebration. The fact that the noise disrupted your stay sincerely affects us as we always hope to achieve positive outcomes from our guests stays. Again, these experiences were nearly a year ago, and we welcome the opportunity to host you at the hotel again and hope you will consider giving us another chance to delight you. Feel free to reach out to me if and when you would like to plan your next visit. Thank you again for your review.

We have stayed here twice now and would love to go back again. Perfect location, lovely pool and restaurant. The rooms were spacious and immaculate. We had a lovely balcony with a view of south beach and the pool. The staff were always happy to help. Great hotel and were looking forward to going back again. :-)

I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Loews Miami. We had a nice room with a beautiful ocean view. I'll start with the employees, they were all friendly and very helpful. The pool...we had to get there early to get a chair; however, they eagerly remove your items if they FEEL you haven't been in your chair for an hour. I was cooling off in the pool only to find the attendants clearing my things....I was in the pool for only 10 minutes, if that. The beach was beautiful...2 chair/umbrella rental for about $50. This brings me to the restaurants. Everything I had was good; however, very expensive. Just for an idea, the cost for a round (3 beers and 3 martinis) was $100.....gratuity is included in all the restaurants/bars. Hope this was helpful.

We just returned from a four day stay. My husband had a conference, and we met up with friends we hadn't seen in a few years. We all had an amazing stay. The service was absolutely top notch, without exception. Upon check in, our room wasn't ready, so to make up for the inconvenience (only an hour or so, it wasn't a big deal) we were upgraded and given a voucher for two free drinks- without even having to ask. Our room was always immaculately cleaned, it was spacious, and the bed was pretty comfortable. There was always someone in the lobby to ask how our stay was going, if we needed anything, or to hold a door open. The staff at Hemisphere lounge was extremely quick and friendly- no easy task considering how busy it got with the conference crowd. We never had to wait more than a few minutes for food or drinks (both of which were excellent). My experience at Splash gift shop was very nice- I went down one night in need of a pair of scissors to cut a tag off a dress (purchased elsewhere) and the sales person was helpful and friendly. I had such a pleasant experience that I actually went back the next day and purchased some perfume. The thing that really made our trip, however, was renting a cabana at SOAK for two days. The convenience and amenities are wonderful, (check out the hotel website for the full description) but the service was even better. Our hostess, Deveraux, was truly amazing. We were so well taken care of! She went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we wanted before we ever asked. If you're even considering renting a cabana, I would highly recommend it, and recommend that you request Dev when you make the reservation. While we spent most of our time at the cabana, we did venture out to the beach for a while and I was impressed with the service and cleanliness/appearance there as well. We didn't bring the kids this trip, but noted that there is a lot for them to do. There is a kids club, the pool has toys available and a shallow area for toddlers, the restaurants have special kid-friendly menus, and the hotel staff all seemed to be very interactive and good with the children that we saw. All in all, it was a perfect business/pleasure quick getaway and we will definitely be back, maybe next time with the kids. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Book an ocean-view, balcony room if you can. We loved having our morning coffee on the terrace watching the waves and enjoying the ocean breeze!
