We totally enjoyed our spring break vacation at the Loews South Beach!

We checked in at 1PM but were told the room wasn't ready until 4PM; right at 4PM, we were called via my cell phone, and the room was ready. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Mauricio, our bellman, was very informative, hard working, and courtesy.

The large pool is beautiful (heated) with comfortable lounge chairs. Drinking water with cups are complimentary during the day around the pool and lobby areas. The poolside grill was set up for breakfast to purchase basic breakfast items or a made-to-order omelets. We had lunch at The Nautilus (pool area), and it was delicious. The beach is about 100-200 yards from the exit gate of the hotel. Security was seen around the pool area so no one would use the facilities if they were not staying at the hotel. The pool and restroom areas were clean throughout the day ... no overflowing trash, etc..

The room was very basic with comfortable beds and clean. Also, it was quiet considering the hotel was completely booked.

The ice cream/dessert/coffee shop served tasty baked goods and had an assortment of ice cream flavors.

Starbucks was located in the lobby during the morning hours.

The location of The Loews is awesome! Just a few blocks from Ocean Drive and Lincoln Ave for many choices of restaurants and shopping.

The cost of the room was pretty high due to spring break but it was totally worth every penny.

Room Tip: If the hotel is booked, I recommend that you get a lounge chair at the pool by 8:30AM; any later than 9:30AM, you are out of luck.

Very nice hotel. We were greeted from the hotel lobby to our room. I think this is special for customer with suites. The service in this hotel was impeccable. Very smooth, relax but professional service. We stayed in a St. Moritz suite with our two kids. A separate structure about 20 feet to the right of the main structure. The pool is very kid friendly (gentle slope versus stairs). Their recommended nanny service is very professional (little older lady in a uniform that inspired trust right away).

The suites are a good size. The couch in the living room folds out into a bed for the kids with plenty of pillows around. The location is very nice next to Lincoln road and a very close to ocean drive. They offer a free toy service from which you can order various toys (see picture). The living room is plenty large enough to have in-room breakfast or even diner.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. Price is high but service, location and room was well worth it.

Room Tip: St. Moritz Suite was perfect right for a family of 4.

We checked in late after delayed flight but we were not kept waiting. After being collected from the airport the driver rang ahead and the rooms were ready with water for us and some food for the kids. Pool area was very very busy being spring break got greats seats every morning as i was up for a run every day. TV was a little annoying the first two days but this got fixed and all was well with the kids at kids camp too.....great staff there (especially Princess and Michelle!!!). Special shout to Danny and Allen from concierge who helped on pick ups, recommendations and babysitting services which made the holiday complete. Highly recommended.

We visited Loews Miami Beach Hotel this Spring. Wow....I am still very pleased with everything the hotel has to offer. The food is just wonderful, the service unbelievableand the cleanliness..impeccable. We had a great time and spent much of our 5 days stay in or near the hotel...that's how relaxing and pleased we were staying there. The pool is a wonderful place to relax and the service there will make you feel a bit spoiled. You can walk the beach or the board walk that runs alongside the beach. Oceans Drive is a block from the hotel and this place is always entertaining. Lot's of places to shop within walking distance. We would just like to give a shout out to Patricia and all the Staff working there that made our stay a very satisfying one. Thank you all so very much!! See you next year!

Room Tip: Get an Ocean View. The rooms are very clean and you can't really hear your neighbor.

We booked 2 rooms: 1 king, 1 double. Both with a view. Our rooms were $504 each which included a $25 food voucher per pay. At $504, our expectations were high! (However, we stayed during the busiest week of the year, Spring Break.)

We arrived at 1:00pm and told our rooms would not be ready until at least 4:00pm. We went to the pool and there was not a pool chair to be had. The pool is small and the pool deck only had enough chairs for about 1/2 of the people staying at the hotel. We went to the beach and were told the chairs on the beach were $12 each per day. Umbrellas were another $10-$12 each per day. Not wanting to pay $58 a day for beach chairs and umbrellas, we went to the pool restaurant to eat lunch and wait until our rooms were ready. There was at least an hour wait for a table at pool restaurant. Once we ordered, our food arrive an hour and one half later. The food was great, the staff were very professional and kind.

When we finally were given our rooms at about 4pm, we were disappointed at the size and quality of the rooms. We expected bigger rooms and higher quality furnishings considering we paid $504 a room. We were not WOWed! The rooms were clean but not WOW quality.

Day 1: The TV reception in our rooms continually went out every day every hour for several minutes. Our rooms were in the same wing as a group of underaged Spring Break Partiers. When we first entered our rooms at 4pm, our underaged neighbors were cranking rap music so loud our walls were vibrating. There were about 10 kids in the room singing/screaming for hours. The first night the underaged drinkers came home at about 1:00AM and were so drunk they ran up and down the halls laughing and screaming. There is little sound proofing at the Loews Hotel. Everyone hears everyone cough. So the partying kept up and we called security. We were told by security after 3 complaints, the underaged guests were be evicted if the hotel received three complaint calls.

Day 2: The Concierge gave us the wrong driving directions to the BB&T Center, thus we were late for our Adam Levine VIP Concert. I went to the concierge the next day and let them know they gave us the wrong directions and they apologized. To the concierge's credit, we order level 300 tickets through the Concierge to the Sony Tennis Match for the Men's Finals. We picked up the tickets and were excited to see section 100/row 3 VIP tickets behind the serving line plus a parking pass. The Concierge did a great job with obtaining section 100 tickets at section 300 prices. THANK YOU! So Day 2 comes to an end and again the underaged guest arrive home at 1:30pm, so drunk they can hardly walk. They lost their keys and one passed out in the hallway of our wing and 2 others just fell on the floor of the hall and screamed so loud we could not get back to sleep. We called security and were told security was already on it's way and the guests would be evicted that night due to disorderly conduct. In fairness to the Loews, they gave the kids the chance and the kids continually messed up and were asked to leave the hotel.

Day 3: Star Service sent a cheese platter, wine, milk, and cookie with a kind note to apologize for the previous evening concerning the underaged drinkers coming back drunk and disorderly. We appreciated Star Service addressing the disorderly conduct and apologizing to us.

Our final night we went to Hakkasan Restaurant at the Fontainblue Hotel. WOW! What a meal, what a restaurant. The best meal we had our entire trip. HOWEVER, the Fontainblue Hotel was crawling with hookers and married men with their young girlfriends. The staff at the Fountainblue were not professional nor classy. Going to the Fountainblue made us really appreciate the exceptional quality of the staff at Loews. The Loews Hotels protects it's guests from the craziness of Miami Beach.

As our trip concluded, we appreciated more why we paid $504 a night per room. Loews staff are highly polished, trained, professional, and really care. If you are looking for a crazy weekend, the Loews Hotel is not the place to stay. If you want a memorable pampered stay and are willing to pay for it, stay at the Loews Hotel. It will be worth your while.
