The Sagamore is one of my favorite hotels in the world! I have been coming here for over 5 years now and it just keeps getting better. The suites are increibly spacious and luxurious, the service is first rate, the pool is beautiful, the food is delicious and the location cannot be beat. The staff is simply outstanding from Jonathan the manager to Mickey, Vito and Gregory at the pool who provide the absolute best in service. They make every stay memorable and enjoyable. I cannot praise this hotel enough. The Sagamore is my home away from home and I so appreciate all the amazing aspects of this hotel. Will be back again very soon. I give this hotel my highest rating!

Felt compelled to write this review...
We have just had a conference with a group of 14 people from all around the world at this hotel
Every single member of staff from Jose at the front door through to the staff in the dining room were helpful and very pleasant - remembering names and drink choices.
A special mention goes to James D'Agostino - Guest Relations Manager - there was not one request that he failed to fulfill - with a smile!
Break fast was great - Pizzas at Lunch were freshly made and were superb
Mickey at the Pool bar was also very professional and very helpful
All in all - one to remember!!
Looking at other comments my room was very clean? Very comfy bed with huge tv and power shower with endless fluffy towels? But then again it was not our intention to be in our rooms there is so much on your doorstep here?
There are probably some more luxurious hotels in the Collins area - but it is the service and the staff that make this hotel! In addition to the thought provoking art throughout the public areas. This is a boutique hotel with very personal service - go next door to the loud and brash Ritz Carlton if its decorative facade that makes your trip.

Room Tip: If you can - get the ocean view suite

This place is in the heart of Miami beach, but hotel pictures are high expectation. Once you get there you realize other choices would have been better. This hotel is extremely small. Pool is almost in the shade all day long. Beach is a bit of a walk even though its right out side of the hotel. Just with the paths to get through the high grass makes it a distance. 2 level rooms are cool with balcony views to the ocean. But the stair case to your room is so narrow that a medium size suitcase is hard to get up the starers. Plus if your tall you have to bend down so you don't bump your head. Other than that the food and drink prices are too high price for the quality. Head across the street for taster food.

Chixryd20,

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback after your stay with us. We are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations as we certainly never want our guests to leave with a sour impression.

Our pool area is a bit smaller than some of the larger properties nearby, however we do get a good deal of sunlight and our pool staff is always very accommodating in setting up the lounge chairs in which ever section our guests prefer, sun or shade.

There is a small beach walk which separates our pool area from the beach, the boardwalk does run along all the ocean front hotels in south beach and it is very popular for visitors that want to go for an afternoon walk.

We do try to keep our pricing on food and beverage competitive to the other options in the area however south beach prices can be a little higher than other cities.

We hope you will give us another opportunity to provide you with a better experience and show you exactly what makes Sagamore one of the best rated hotels in South Beach.

Best Regards,
James D'Agostino

After searching for a beautiful hotel in South Beach I was really looking forward to staying in the Sagamore Hotel. We arrived very late at night. When we walked into our room I was shocked. The light colored ceramic tile floor and grout were very dirty throughout the entire one bedroom suite . Some of the tiles were chipped. I've never seen anything in this condition - it was gross. I had paid in advance for the room, so I couldn't just leave. Plus, who wants to go find a hotel late on a Friday night? I didn't even want to go through trying to find a better room at the hotel. This couldn't be the only room in the hotel that looked like this. The counter top in the kitchen area was made of small ceramic tiles with grout that also looked bad. I really should have read reviews on Yelp better because some other people do mention that the rooms are not in great condition. There are some pictures on Yelp that show counter tops that are newer and in better condition, and some rooms have carpeting so there is not this tile issue. But, if you get a room with this tile, you will not be happy!

The hotel is in a great location, the exterior and the lobby are cool, all of the staff we encountered were very nice. The suites are big, but there is no view. The rooms should be in better condition. I would not expect a floor to look like this in a hotel that is a third of the price, which they do have in sobe.

I would not stay here again.

My husband, 8 year old son, 5 year old daughter, and myself recently had the pleasure of staying at The Sagamore for the first time. Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the lobby, which had an elegantly modern sleekness, mixed with whimsical works of art and even an oversized swing which yes, you could actually jump on up and swing on! The vibe was definitely "south beach cool", but without any of the pretentious attitude. We immediately felt welcomed by the staff and very much "at home" in the hotel. After checking in, we decided to get a bite to eat out by the pool and were promptly greeted by Gregory. This lovely gentlemen appeared to be a jack-of-all trades, but specialized in taking care of the guests' poolside needs...and wow, did he do it well! He anticipated our every need, and did it with pizzazz! It is this type of attention that elevates a hotel stay to the next level and I can only hope that the management appreciates this gem of an employee. The rest of the staff was professional and attentive on every single level of service. The room was perfect for a family of four, with a queen sized pull-out couch in the living room and a kitchenette. The only negative about our stay was a rowdy neighbor who could easily be heard through the adjoining door. After the second night of interrupted sleep, we decided to approach one of the managers (Thomas I think?) about a room switch and thanks to his ability to quickly resolve the situation, we concluded with our stay well rested and very happy:) Fantastic stay at The Sagamore!!!

CAB2014,

We are very happy to hear that you had such a wonderful experience with your family during your recent stay here at Sagamore.

Our giant swing in the lobby definitely makes a bold statement upon arrival and is always a conversation piece and photo opportunity for all of our guests. Gregory as well as the rest of our team out at the pool area always do their part to make sure our guests have an enjoyable pool experience every day.

We are happy to hear that we were able to get you moved into a room which was a little quieter and better suited your family. We thank you again for choosing Sagamore and we look forward to welcoming you back in the many years to come!!

Best Regards,
James D'Agostino
