From the outside this place appears drab but the apartments I had was large, modern, clean and well stocked with drinks (available at reasonable charges). It also has a kitchen / lounge area. I had no view but the hotel is excellently situated for the beach and is on the strip but Slightly away from the noise of the bars. There is a small roof terrace which was a bit tired but was being repainted when I visited. The staff weren't many but were attentive, relaxed and flexible as regards check out.

Room Tip: I had room 1303 (as i recall) but take care as no view.

Attractive modern room with comfy bedding. Spacious with cooking facilities. The beach is just a safe street crossing away from the hotel. We love walking around the South Beach location. The hotel is a short walk to the Lincoln Road Mall that has restaurants and elegant shopping. Say hello to Alex and Vanessa who are part of the very cooperative front desk staff.

Room Tip: Don't get a room with a view. Ocean Ave is a small street, but there are revelers at night.

Recently we stayed at the HGVC South Beach and enjoyed every minute. First of all, many reviewers acknowledge the wonderful staff. It is all true and we want to especially thank Orlando, Luis and Alex. Our 1 bedroom was great. Yes, it was a little smaller than some standard one bedrooms but this is in a beautiful art deco district. And......who stays in their room, when you are in beautiful South Beach. We found the beds to be very comfortable and the room was in great shape and very clean.
The weekend nights were very different from week nights, in the area. The action is non-stop on the weekend. People of all ages, all night. To go along with that, the restaurants, shops and clubs are open late. A bit quieter during the week.
The Hilton has a lovely terrace on the 4th floor, with comfortable couches, a hot tub, and a beautiful view of the beach. A short walk to the beach through a small park, across the street from the hotel. One thing to think about...the hotel does not have beach chairs/umbrellas. There is a separate, unassociated business which rents them. It is quite expensive, in my opinion. $51 a day for 2 comfortable lounge chairs and umbrella. We love the beach and will work something else out next time and yes there will definitely be a next time!!!

My husband and I travelled with our 2.5 year old from 2/4 to 2/7/13. The hotel has a great location across the street from the beach, next to lots of restaurants, Starbucks, and the beach boardwalk. There is also a playground a couple of blocks away which was nice for our 2 year old. However, the hotel it is not directly on the beach and there are no beach views. Our windows looked into the building next door, which made the room a little dark, we couldn't even tell whether it was sunny or not. The rooms were nice with lots of space but the tub had some really bad rust stains, almost so that I hesitated to bathe my son in it. I told the front desk and was offered another room, but that room also had rust stains in the tub in the same location. So we didn't bother moving. This hotel does not have lots of amenities, no restaurant, very small lobby - it is more like an apartment than a hotel. There is a small sunning area on the top of both buildings with a jacuzzi and small work-out room. Although it was nice and great location probably would not stay again because of the lack of beach views/direct beach access.

We love this location, right across from the park and beach. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are perfect. It's great to be on the brach and come back over for lunch, it;s so close. My only complaint is that the hotle does not contract with the chair venors on the beach so if you want to rent a chair and umbrella, it's 51.00 a day...cash only. It would be cheaper to buy chairs at the store and just leave them at the end of the week. It would be nice if the hotel had some chars to let the owners use. They do this in San diego. Otherwise, it's a great place. The atrt Deco weekend was going on when we were there in January and it was great fun.

Room Tip: the only rooms that face the ocean are two bedroom units, all others face the alley.
