I stayed for 4 nights/5days at the Ritz-Carlton. I had the leisure end of this stay, while my wife had the business end of this stay. It is not an inexpensive hotel but the service is beyond exceptional in all phases. From the valet, to doorman, conceirge to the check-in people, I have never felt so welcome to stay somewhere. Sometimes it seems a bit much, but I can see where "leading by example" helps makes the Ritz such a stellar hotel.
It has a fantastic infinity pool or so it seems. It is blended with many chaise lounge recliners surrounding the pool with thick mattress's. The Ritz poolside staff will sheet the chair in towels so after a swim, one can relax in these loungers to dry off. They also have sun patio beds ringing the beach side of the pool. Wait staff is there to handle all your drink & food orders. It is very family friendly as when I was swimming there were perhaps 10 kids in the pool, but it never seemed crowded.
The standard room has a Suite quality to it with a 40" flat screen TV and the standard bathroom have seperate bath, shower and water closet area's with double sinks. We had a partial ocean view and a view of the A/C systems of the adjacent hotel. The curtains overlapped very well to keep the room very dark at night if one wish it too. There was a lounge chair with ottoman, business desk & chair and King size firm bed with the "Heavenly Bedcovers" and lots of fluffy pillows. Ice machine was by elevator in its own closet. The room itself was very quiet and did not hear the eighbors.
We ate at the hotel and the meals were served hot & promptly. We also ventured out on the Lincoln Rd. Mall to shop, have dinner and go to a movie. We took many long walks on the Boardwalk and had a great meal at Larios on Ocean Blvd & 8th Ave.
We had a wonderful experience with the Ritz and the surrounding area. With the price of a 7 night cruise and airfare, a week at the Ritz is nearly the same price without as many people and more nightlife abounds in South Beach then any cruiseship.

Recently stayed at Ritz Carlton South Miami Beach and can only say that it must be one of the most beautiful hotels in the world.

We arrived to a very warm welcome and was pleasantly surprised to be given a free upgrade to a junior suite instead of the standard room that we had booked. The suite and the rest of the hotel is furnished in retro style that mirrored the Art Deco region of South Beach Miami in which the hotel is located. The food was excellent along with the fantastic customer services provided. We didn't get to use many of the numerous facilities as we only stayed for 2 nights but we noticed that the residents appeared very happy and relaxed. The price of food/beverages was quite expensive but for a hotel of this quality it can be expected. It was an amazing hotel that i think anyone would recommend.

I returned for a vacation at the Ritz Carlton South Beach for the second time in three years, and loved it even more this time. Stayed on the club level where the staff is first rate. Everyone in the hotel remembers your name, it so amazed me. The best bed to sleep in anywhere. I was contacted by guest services in advance to ask if they could make any arrangements for me and everything was taken care of. I love the pool area as you can relax and unlike the rest of South Beach it is not a scene. Received one of the best massages ever at the spa. Writing this makes we want to go back - NOW.

I recently had the pleasure of working closely with Kevin Tobe (catering mgr) at the Ritz. I have had the pelasure of working with him on several ccasions and he always exceeds my expectations. This client was very demanding and Kevin and his team did a fabulous job in accommodating them. I also want to mention that Gary (F&B mgr) did a fabulous job as well as Cresencio (bartender). They were very courteous and efficient throughout the event. The food was amazing adn the presentation was superb.

The Ritz always welcomes me and my clients with warm regards and makes us feel at home with a luxury touch!

We regularly stay in Ritz Carltons and in fact stayed at the one in Fort Lauderdale last summer. We planned a trip for LaborDay to South Beach and selected this property. Aside from being over run with children (not entirely the hotel's fault, although I suspect some of their discounting of then cost for rooms has contributed to this), we were given a horrible room to start the trip off. We were then moved to a similar room only with a view. We decided to just take the room and enjoy the weekend.

The first evening after returning from dinner we found mold in the trademark white marble shower. The air vents were filthy in the room and our duvet was stained. We we ere so exhausted we decided to put all of this aside and deal with it the following morning...that is, until our neighbors decided to throw a party until 4am keeping us awake. After many calls to management we put cotton in our ears and went to bed.

The next day we decided to check out at 5pm after spending a beautiful day on the beach and returning to yet another party by our neighbors when we attempted a mid afternoon nap. We went to the W just a couple of blocks down...it outshines this dated excuse of a Ritz 10 to 1.

On a positive note, the spa at Ritz is fantastic. We both had massages and I also had a haircut.

We stayed here for 7 nights and I have nothing bad to say about the hotel! The people were really friendly and the hotel was amazing! We definitely couldn't have asked for more!

The location is great as you have South beach on one side, Ocean drive and all the clubs and bars in walking distance!

Best hotel ever!!!!

What can I say but WOW! Came from the Universal Hard Rock Orlando prior to the stay at RCSB and what a difference. Not only was my room five times as nice but the room was even cheaper. The staff at the RCSB was so wonderful as well. The view we had from the eighth floor was phenominal. Loved the seats at the beach at no extra cost. Spacious pool. Only drawback was a $16 mojito. I highly recommend this place.
