We stayed in the Edgewater for the first four nights of our honeymoon. Upon arrival we were given our room on the second floor which, while being perfectly nice, the balcony overlooked an alley. Upon enquiring about a room with a better view not only were we given a room with a view of ocean drive and the beach but we were upgraded from our deluxe studio to a one bedroom suite. Shortly afterwards Edward arrived at our room with a bottle of wine for us! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Edgewater. The location couldn't be better-right across from the beach and with towels and beach chairs provided by the hotel, we couldn't have asked for more. The continental breakfast is perfect, exactly what you need to start off your day. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. All the staff are lovely although our dealings were mainly with Joseph & Edward. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed in a Deluxe Studio City View Guestroom. It included a queen bed, couch and a mini kitchen. The room was very nice and clean. The location was directly on Ocean Drive and within walking distance to restaurants and bars. I would definitely recommend this place. The only reason this hotel did not get a 5 stars was because the hotel did not state there was an $18 resort fee when I booked and I found out at check in. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

My girlfriend I and recently stayed here for three nights. Overall, we were pretty happy with our stay. The location is great, right across the street from the beach and within walking distance of a lot of restaurants. The hotel provides beach chairs and towels. Be careful when selecting your beach chair as some of them are broken. The continental breakfast was very basic (bagels, croissants, yogurt, bananas, apples, cereal, juice, coffee...etc.) There was also a complimentary beer and wine happy hour from 6-7.

The room was fine, good size. The bed was average. We had a non ocean facing room and our balcony overlooked an alley and some dirty rooftops. There was a mini-fridge in the room which was nice. The bathroom was modern.

As for the service, everyone was great. Alejandro at the front desk couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

I would stay again as well as recommend it to others.

Thanks for taking the time to share your stay details with us, Brendan. Glad you had a good experience, we work hard to provide just that for all of our guests. Apologies for the beach chair, we do replace them often but it seems that one went unnoticed.
We hope to see you again.

Stayed at this hotel with my mum for 6 days over the Easter break. The room was spacious with a lovely and bright living area, large bed, massive tv and a wonderful bathroom. The hotel is set amongst fantastic restaurants and cafes so very little need to use the kitchenette. Lovely breakfast provided on the terrace every morning and mum and I helped ourselves to apples and oranges from the fruit bowl at reception every time we went past. But the highlight of this hotel is the staff. From the moment you walk in until the day you check out, they just can't do enough for you. One fabulous, young man stood in the rain for 5-10 minutes trying to hail a cab for me. Will definitely be back! Thank you all so much.

Stayed here for one week during WMC in March 2013. Booked this hotel very early so we paid like 200 USD per night for a double room and thats about what its worth. The location is really the best, it is located on Ocean drive but still a few blocks away from the craziness and loud clubs that are located further down on Ocean drive. Just cross the street and then you also have Miami/South beach, so you could easily go back and forth from the hotel to the beach.

The room was a normal sized room and it felt fresh and newly renovated. On the website it said that the rooms were fully equipped with a kitchenette but thats not true. We had a few glasses and a microwave and of course a fridge but thats like all. We had to ask the reception for some cutlery and plates, so I wouldn't call this fully equipped. Don't expect to be able to make/prepare food in this hotel room, but after all, the dining out in Miami beach is very cheap and there's so many restaurants nearby so why stay in the room to eat.

My overall feeling of this hotel is that they're trying too much. They want to be a 4-5 star hotel but sometimes it just felt a bit stupid. Like the breakfast served each morning, it was a simple continental breakfast served so don't expect too much. I knew what to expect from the breakfast but still, a few variations from day to day wouldn't hurt sometimes. There was exactly the same thing every morning, bagels and cream cheese and jam. And the so called happy hour in the afternoons, well not so happy to me. There were only a few people there and no one was talking to each other and the so called "bar" was a manager serving eather red or white wine from a bottle.

This hotel really has potential with its location and fresh rooms, but they have to decide in what range they would like to play. It feels like a budget hotel that really wants to be so much more. If they stake out their way and really give it 100%, then this hotel could really be the #1 hotel in Miami beach.

Dear Mrs. Lawler,

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us, we always appreciate it.
I am pleased that you noticed our efforts to provide a five star level of service and take it as a compliment. Even though we are a limited service property and do not have the features and specialized services of larger hotels, our staff consistently strives to provide a five star experience for our guests (and are constantly praised for it).
We hope we will see you again.
