Love steak? Don't care what you pay for that love? Eat here, you can't go wrong. Husband had a conference here, we decided to let this be our 'big spend' night and boy was it ever. But ever so worth it. Beautiful chic atmosphere, beautiful people. Our waiter, while something akin to Arnold the 'Terminator', was after first couple of interactions, funny and informative! When queried he told us tidbits and history about the restaurant, the plates, etc. which was really great. I started off with the risotto and about cried it was so good. PERFECTLY cooked, excellent in every way. My husband had the Hudson Valley foie gras and about cried. He said it was the best he ever had because it had a perfect sear on it, which not many places do. And we are from the Hudson Valley, so, well, there you have it. For dinner we got the porterhouse for two and seriously, if God's up there, and he can pick whatever he wants for dinner everynight this is it. This steak was AMAZING. Super succulent, rich, delicious, perfectly cooked. Nothing short of spectacular. We had sides of wild mushrooms and the gratin dauphinois were delish. I had the lava cake for dessert and it was the perfect combination of sweet and salt. Note two self I think there were 2 reds under $100. All other wines were well over $100 p/bottle, which, ok, if you're going to eat a steak this good, you might as well drink a wine this good too, but be mentally prepared for the ouch that comes with the bill, and then smile and say well....you only live once! If steak is your love, go here before you die.
