“Great food, creative, fresh and lovely”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

The restaurant is on the ocean side and off the trendy Ocean Ave strip. The food is wonderful starting with the Columbian bread - hot, fresh little dinner rolls that are good just alone. The heirloom tomato and avocado salad was just right to start - nice vinaigrette and so fresh and tasty. Had the chicken with cilantro, garlic and herbs - outstanding slow cooked with a sauce that is just right and not overpowering. The octopus, however, was a little overcooked and chewy. The service was very attentive without being overbearing.

“Quite possibly the most delicious Cuban cuisine in South Florida”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

Myself and 3 friends were in South Pointe and came across this spot so humbly tucked away into the beautiful Hilton Bentley Hotel. It has a very nice view overlooking the pool deck of cabanas and palms.

On to my favorite part - the food. Needing a Cuban fix this evening, we took care to explore every part of the menu. Firstly, they brought out plantain chips with salsa. We only wish they had the salsa for sale because we would have bought a few. Next, we had smoked marlin tacos and guacamole. Both were delicious yet light which allowed us to enjoy the following courses without having to be rolled out of the restaurant. For the main course, I had the Lobster Enchilado which was incredible. The lobster tail was enormous and the green rice throne it sat upon was the perfect compliment. The rest of the table loved their entrees, especially one particular ceviche that was recommended to him by the waiter. Lastly, we all ganged up on the cuatro leches that was the best I've ever had.

It is also worth mentioning that the mojitos may have been the best any of us had ever tried. This is my new go to for higher end Cuban whenever family or friends come into town.

“Poor location, strange smell”
Reviewed January 8, 2014 via mobile

The food was ok, the ambiance not one I enjoyed, the patrons seemed to be mostly the people staying at the hotel paying for room and board. Overall very disappointing, after having read the reviews I truly expected a hip place catering to a hip crowd, well not so!

Cheers.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

The food was good, but uninspired, which may be why the place was almost empty. We read great things about this place, so were disappointed.

“We should have known better”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Rarely finding a hotel restaurant that meets our expectations, we should have known better. The food and service were not worth the $$$. We tried both dining in the restaurant as well as via room service, neither acceptable. Go elsewhere if you can.
