Description: STK artfully blends two concepts into one-the modern steakhouse and a chic lounge. A large central lounge area is furnished with creamy leather banquettes and textured crocodile tiles, and is surrounded by an elevated dining room for more formal dining. Theatrical lights illuminate each table, while a DJ creates an energetic vibe throughout the entire space. STK Miami is located in the heart of Miami Beach, bringing the pulse of New York to the rhythm of South Beach. Executive Chef Aaron Taylor mans the kitchen of the bi-level venue adjacent to the hotel lobby of The Perry South Beach. As anticipated, steak is the main attraction. With a female-friendly mindset, STK offers small, medium and large cuts of meat, as well as naturally raised options and market fresh fish entrees. Aside from steak, signature items include Parmesan Truffle Fries; Lil' BRGs; Shrimp Rice Krispies; Sweet Corn Pudding; and Jumbo Lump Crab Salad.

STK is a trendy yet good restaurant. Though known for its steaks, the tuna is also a good option. The restaurant is on the expensive side of options, however if you want to see people a be seeing, this ia hot spot. The place is near the also very trendy W hotel, make sure you have a reservation if you plan on going there on Thursday, Friday or Saturday as it is usually full!

Made what I thought would be a reservation for a "special evening" with my wife at STK but shortly after arrival, I learned I had erred. A Palms Steakhouse or Shula's it was not. The restaurant smelled smoky, not grilled smoky but cigarette smoky which made for an unpleasant experience as we are non-smokers. The service was adequate but disinterested and almost seemed as if we were disturbing them when asking for something, which by the way we should not have had to do i.e. refill water glasses. We soldiered on but conversation between us was more of a shout as it is very loud inside the premise. The food was average and the price was to be expected for an upscale steakhouse, just not commensurate with the food quality. We finished the dinner, paid the check, and promised ourselves not to repeat this mistake.

I think the food overall was pretty good, but not worth it. I much prefer a Ruth Chris to STK. Its a huge almost club like space so it almost feels weird dining there. They serve a bread with bluecheese, which in theory sounds wonderful, but does not translate well to the olfactory. It also smells like a club when you go the next day to close out your bar tab.

Our daughter brought us here - maybe we are just too old for loud music when we eat - it was very hard to hear anything under the meal which made it hard to talk.
The service was so so - not very interested in us but not bad - just there....
The food was very good but pricey.
Some people danced there - for younger people who wants to go out the place is probably great and trendy - if you like a conversation while you eat this is not the place.

Went for a late lunch. Both of us started off with a salad and then had the steak and chicken meals. Both were great and the frozen cocktails were terrific as well.
