Owner description: We are a small Garden, just 2.6 acres, with a very big mission! We call ourselves an urban oasis in the middle of the glitz and neon of South Beach, a place where locals and visitors can come and enjoy the numerous cultural and artisitic programs that the Garden has to offer. Created as a Miami Beach city park in 1962, the Garden was rejuvenated in the fall of 2011 with a $1.2 Million landscape renovation by acclaimed South Florida landscape architect Raymond Jungles. We invite you to discover the new features of the Garden – a wetland with red mangrove and pond apple trees, an expansive water garden with cascading oolite fountain, a welcoming entrance plaza, and diverse collection of flowering trees, palms, cycads, orchids, bromeliads and Florida native species.

“Small Sanctuary near the convention center”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Very nice garden. Many interesting sculptures. It is small. Only takes about 20 minutes to walk through if that is what you want to do. Several places to sit, relax and maybe bring your lunch.

“Green haven”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

The Botanical Garden in Miami Beach is a lovely green haven adjacent to the Convention Center. Well cared for with hidden gems like the Japanese garden and lovely statuary sprinkled throughout. A pleasant getaway.

“A little magical!”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Botanical gardens anywhere are a must see place for me. It was very hot when I visited this one, but there were gorgeous butterflies all over and a few pretty birds. The sculptures and the grounds are so lovely.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

An Oasis on Miami Beach. Gorgeous, beautiful small botanical Gardens. A place to escape on Miami Beach. We have been 3 times just this year and know how relaxing and beautifully maintained. Of course as an added benefit, view the Chapungu sculptures for the next few months. Have a pick-nick, enjoy being surrounded by lush greenery.

Thank you so much, Sabina, for taking the time to write a review and for being such a regular visitor to the Garden. Like you, we think it is the most beautiful place in South Beach - and oasis amid the glitz and glamour of America's Riviera. The new Chupungu stone sculptures from Zimbabwe, which are scattered throughout the Garden (thank you for adding a photo of one of them) add an exotic and organic new look to our 2.6 acres. And - a reason to hurry back for your 4th visit! - the Bass Museum has JUST installed, as part of its "Temporary Contemporary" outdoor art installation. a whimsical series of brightly-colored adhesive "bubbles" with wonderful sayings printed on them, on the pathways throughout the Garden. They are both festive and thought-provoking - come check them out soon. We are open every day, Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm, and always FREE admission!

We couldn't agree with you more, Irene, about the "hidden gem" nature of the wonderful Miami beach Botanical Garden! Just 2 blocks away from Lincoln Road but yet a world apart, with butterflies, palms and bromeliads galore! Our gem just added a new facet - wonderful outdoor sculptures from the famed Chupungu Sculpture Park in Zimbabwe are now installed throughout the Garden, with appropriate signage to explain the significance of each work, some of which are 20 feet high! These sculptures have found a perfect backdrop against the Garden's numerous vistas and water elements. Come, see Open every day, Monday through Sunday form 9 am to 5 pm and, of course, always free to enter!
