Found the hotel based on the reviews here and wasn't disappointed; a great, modern hotel with great staff! And rooms are just as amazing as pictured on the webside.
Only thing I would unfortunately have to criticize is the noise from the next door bar that made sleeping slightly difficult at times...
But would still stay here again!

A girlfriend and I went to Miami for a girl's weekend. We didn't know where to stay and got mixed reviews for a lot of the "affordable" places we heard about. As soon as we checked out the Palmer House reviews on TripAdvisor, plus the hotel's website, we knew it was the perfect place for us.

Palmer House was definitely all that the reviews said it was - chic, romantic, great location (for the beach & the clubs) and excellent service! We were seriously blown away by the service. Every single person on staff was so helpful with recommendations for restaurants, clubs, etc - giving us nightclub passes, tips, and even running to the liquor store nearby to get us a bottle of champagne to kickoff our trip! Everyone was awesome - but especially Thomas and Andre!

It definitely was a romantic, cozy room... if you stay there with a friend, you'll be close by the end of the stay if you aren't already! The low blue lighting, open shower, and glass bathroom door were very sexy and fun - just don't count on having any privacy!

Highly recommend this hotel - staying here definitely enhanced our trip and we want to go back as soon as possible!!

It looks exactly like the pictures. I have actually stayed here twice, once in July and again for halloween. The one thing I should warn people about is the bathrooms are not very private, that said, the rooms only have one bed, so you should be staying here with someone you are close to.

The lighting is beautiful and blue, and they will show you how to use the lighting system in the room, but it wont be a problem. The light even comes on when you open the door so you don't have to look for the switch.

This place is clean, not kinda clean, but really clean. The staff is wonderful, quick, and helpful, and seem genuine, not like they were handed a script. I can't wait to come back, (and hopefully the pool will be done). Once you're here there is no reason to drive, everything is a short walk, or for those of us in the sky high heels, a short cab ride away.
I can honestly say I didn't have any problems with noise on either of my stays, and I don't consider myself a sound sleeper, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Some of the other hotels I've stayed at on the beach have paper thin walls, it is much quieter here.

Jusif? was awesome! From our first impression to our check out, Jusif made our stay memorable. He gave great directions to help get us where we wanted to be. He made sure to give us the perfect recommendation for dining and entertainment. The hotel was spotless and within a short walk to the beach. The room is definitely not private, but if you are staying with that special someone it couldn't be better. Lighting for putting on makeup could be better but not too big of an issue when everything else is perfect!

We booked this hotel because of its Trip Advisor rating and we were generally very happy with our stay. We arrived at the hotel after a ten day cruise and were greeted by the extremely friendly and helpful staff. We were shown to a beautiful room with a very comfortable bed. We stayed for two nights and experienced issues with noise from the next door room on both nights. Whilst I appreciate that the hotel can't be held responsible for guests making loud transatlantic phone calls at 5am and being generally very noisy during their stay, it did seem that there was a distinct lack of sound insulation between the rooms and they could do something about that.

All in all it was a great place to stay somewhat spoiled by our noisy neighbours.

This hotel is great- just as you see in all the pictures. Location is excellent- a block away from the beach and close to Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive ( would recommend that you take a walk to Lincoln Road in the evening instead of Ocean Drive). We arrived late and were greeted by very helpful porter who took us to our room and explained how the lighting system worked. This would be my only complaint about the hotel- lighting is way too complicated and is not at all practical for putting make up on (or a shave according to my other half). The overall effect of from the lights does look great though.

Room was quite small but all you need when most of your time is spent on the beach! Bed was very comfy. Not much privacy when it comes to having a shower or using the toilet- not a problem for couples but maybe for groups of friends?

Overall a great hotel at a great price in an excellent location with very friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here if we visited Miami again.

Like a lot of people we booked Palmer House purely on the basis of the Tripadvisor reviews and we got exactly what was described by all those that enjoyed it., a first class, stylish, kind of quirky in a nice way, well situated, well run, comfortable and great value hotel.
We arrived early on a Sunday evening prior to leaving on a cruise the next day (only 15 mins taxi to the cruise terminals so great location for us), so we only had a short stay to enjoy. Right away we were welcomed and checked in promptly and shown to our room where the porter explained the rather complicated (but cool) lighting arrangement. The room was stylish and good size although we decided not to unpack so had to have 2 suitcases open on the floor which was then a bit cramped. After a 9 hour flight we wanted to enjoy South Beach and asked for a dinner recommendation, Quinns at the Park Central Hotel was booked and we strolled down the very very lively Ocean Drive and had a great meal, great atmosphere, great wine ! About a 15 mins stroll depending on human traffic !
Back at the hotel the toilet/shower arrangement caused much laughter, maybe some sort of screen privacy film (like a PC) could be added easily ? but didn't bother us a great deal. The only negative for us was the room location , we discovered at about 6am the next morning we were adjacent to the elevator shaft and the noise kept us awake when were trying to get into the time zone ! Didn't notice this originally as we took a couple of left turns out of the lift, should have requested a room away from lift for future reference.
Next morning the front desks breakfast recommendation was the News Cafe on Ocean Drive, just a 5 min walk from Palmer House, another good recommendation.
The hotel is in a good location, check the map, you are on the beach in less than 5 mins, close to all the Ocean Drive restaurants and bars, and only a $32 taxi from Miami International (fixed price).
We are coming to Miami again next year (hopefully) for another cruise, we will definitely be booking Palmer House again, and we get 15% off as returning customers ! cool !
Thanks to all the staff.
