I stayed here for business and my birthday weekend and all I have to say is AWESOME! The hotel is very clean, posh, and everything is sexy. The rooftop pool is great to soak up some sun and have a few drinks or chill. The staff is so kind and attentive from check in all the way to check out. The room is a great intimate size with super cool lighting. The location of the hotel is perfect and just a block away from the beach and near night life in the heart of SOBE. I cannot wait to come and stay again!

Close your eyes, picture Miami, then picture a Miami style hotel, this is it. The rooms are very different in a good way. The rooms where a bit small but the layout maximizes the space. The hotel has a nice Deco vibe. The lighting in the rooms is high-tech and have us a lot of options. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very centrally located, only about a block from the beach. The hotel offers beach chairs and towers. This was a nice perk that lots of other hotels don't offer. This was a great stay and we plan on staying there again in the future.

I stayed there for Thanksgiving 2012 (so the date doesn't match), and I went solo. It was my first time in the city, and yes it is not safe for a girl but I actually had a lot of fun :D . The hotel location was perfect, and their pool is nice too. The room was small though, but very comfy too. Some would complain about the blue lighting but come on, it's Miami, and no one ends up there for a business meeting! But in summary, the stay was really nice.

We stayed 3 nights at Dream South Beach in Miami Beach, FL for Art Deco Weekend. The hotel encompasses two historic Art Deco structures in an idea location with lots of charm. On the inside, the rooms are totally modern Euro chic. Just beautiful! However, the renovation could have been done more thoughtfully.

First, the plumbing system could use a complete overhaul. Water pressure is less than wonderful. But the most bothersome part of it is that anytime someone in a nearby room turns on the water, the pipes squeak and moan loudly enough to wake you in the middle of the night.

Second, while the w/c and shower facility look gorgeous, they are not designed in a way that is comfortable to most Americans. Both are behind clear glass panels and are near the main door to the room, leaving you totally exposed. Furthermore, the shower stall has nothing to grab onto if you need to steady yourself (standing on one foot to shave or wash your feet?) and the shower controls are located so that you stand in the stream of water before it has a chance to warm up.

The third issue we encountered was inconsistent information about costs from the front desk staff. One person told us that wifi and beach chairs were included in the cost of our room. However, when we checked out, we discovered there were additional charges on our bill for these services. We would not have minded paying the additional fees if we had expected them. As it happened, we felt deceived.

On the plus side, the rooftop deck is just gorgeous and a comfortable retreat. And the concierge, Benjamin, was extremely helpful and attentive.

While we loved the style and aesthetics of this hotel, we would not stay there again.
