“Fantastic hotel in South Beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2011

The rooms are fantastic. I love the lighting (when I had it figuered out). Very romantic! The service is also great. Rooms are cleaned twice a day. The pool area on the roof is very nice. Drinks and food a bit pricey but so is most of South Beach. The location of the hotel is perfect. Just one block from the beach and very near most locations worth visiting in the area. The one bad thing would be the breakfast (at the Tudor). Quite expensive and not that nice.

I just got back from a 3 night stay with my girlfriends and this has far surpassed all my expectations. As an avid traveller, I have seen the good, the bad, the ugly - this was beautiful, clean, and the service was impeccable. It is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at and everyone is so pleasant.

Room: Contrary to what people have to say, the lights are extremely easy to use, although may be dim when applying makeup but I had no problem. Front desk took our bags to our room (elevator was down for 1/2 day) and he even showed us how to use the lights. The glass shower and bathroom takes a little getting used to but by the second day, I didn't even notice anymore - I was with my best girlfriends anyways. All their photos are accurate of the room. I didn't have problems with noise levels, I was too tired and passed out. Rooms are so clean, (Don't forget to tip the housekeeping!!!).

Food/Service:Tudor House - highly recommended, I ate there 3 times in 3 days. Don't miss it. Concierge Thomas (SHOUTOUTS!!) was amazing, even came to eat dinner and party with us.

I will never stay anywhere again. Looking at going again in a couple of months. The Asian Trio shall return!

We have just recently returned from Miami and stayed in the Dream hotel for 10 nights for our honeymoon and already missing the hotel and service! The photograph's on here and their website for once live up to and exceed expectations.

We stayed in a standard king room with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The room was of a decent size and more than enough needed to chill out in. There was a well stocked mini-bar, desk with mirror, large flat screen TV on the wall, bedside tables, ipod/iphone dock station, cupboard with x2 drawers, large shower and toilet with sink. The room was well cleaned daily left with fresh towels and lovely complimentary toiletries, slippers and dressing gown to use.

I am quite fussy when it comes to hotel rooms and cleanliness but I had nothing to worry about in this one and felt right at home straight away, which I never do! The lighting system for the room was amazing and really makes the rooms unique to anything I have stayed in before.

The service from staff around the hotel was top class and they were all very friendly and easy to talk to. The minute we arrived with our luggage we were helped to check in and get to our room and being on our honeymoon we were sent up a lovely fruit array and a card was signed on the table, which was a nice touch.

We spent many a day and night on the amazing rooftop pool and bar, where we ordered food and drinks by the pool and of course excellent service. We always managed to get a lounger by the pool on the days we used it and there is plenty of seating areas anyway to relax. The pool was lovely and clean and the music really set the atmosphere as well!

The Tudor restaurant that is within the hotel also has brilliant food and a bar inside, if you want to cool down out of the sun. We had some lovely conversations with the bar staff (Rick to name but a few) and they really made us feel at home.

It was right next to Ocean Drive and better for us, as the liveliness of Ocean Drive hotels may have been too much all the time, as we like our sleep as well! The rooms were lovely and quiet and the blackout curtains and blinds meant we weren't disturbed by the sun on a morning! It was close to shops, the local SoBe bus route, the beach and of course Ocean Drive. The concierge helped with the buses into Downtown and elsewhere and we felt very safe around the whole area of the hotel and its surroundings. Although the Wi-Fi isn't free (unless you are in the lobby), we appreciated the free 15 minutes of time to check in online for our flights back and print off our boarding passes, so we ourselves didn't need the Wi-Fi. They have a baggage hold if your flight is later on after checking out and lovely spots to just sit and relax or soak in the atmosphere on the front.

I would say it is a hip hotel best suited for couples and friends, and probably not families. The see through toilet and shower in the room means you need to know the person and I was put off reading this before I went, but it is still very private as you have doors between them and the bedroom, so it isn't a problem!

Overall it was an amazing hotel with beautiful rooms and very clean. We only had a standard room which was more than enough, so I can't even imagine the suites or sun-deck rooms! If we are ever lucky enough to visit Miami again, we will for certain be staying here! Thanks for making our honeymoon an amazing experience which we will never forget!

Our room was serviced at least twice a day and every staff member we encountered went above and beyond. From the shower to the bed to the rooftop lounge area- the hotel is in an excellent location and worth every penny.

Room Tip: Yes the mini fridge is stocked and the lighting isn't ideal for applying makeup but the service...

This hotel was spectacularly funky, trendy, modern, and fun. The hotel lobby was simplistic yet comfortable with the beanbag like seats. The rooms were small, but fun. I loved the color scheme, and the light fixtures. The lighting controls were very fancy. It's a close walk to Ocean Drive and other areas of Miami, so you don't have to keep requesting the car from the valet parking. I only stayed here for one night before we boarded a cruise in Miami. Would I stay there again? Definitely so!!!!

Have been visiting Miami quite extensively past 15 years and know a bunch of hotels and places around.
Went to Dream South Beach first time last winter. Place was pretty new and fresh.
The location is perfect, valet parking was working well (no one hour wait or so, the usual Miami thing...), place was really clean, which is to be remarked for South Beach.
Biggest concern was this light thing. Whatever hour of the day you seem to be drunk and out of the nightclub whenever you enter the hotel. Hallways and rooms are super dark and the lighting system is too complicated. Glass doors for restrooms (grmpf) and shower is not my thing neither.
Opening the curtain on a wall on the other side you can touch, but well you can't because you can't open the window. But that's also quite common for Miami Beach hotels. Apart from wanting to pay the bayside or oceanview and higher hotels and different rates.
That's also another concern, the prices are high, have to admit regular rates for around but seems to climb higher and higher and... well maybe the new swimming pool or other facilities have been added and make the difference.
Overall, some good and bad points, I keep hunting for good place in Miami Beach but seem like a really hard thing these days, so prefer the good deals basics than paying for just nothing.
The staff was also quite nice as I can remember.
Curious to see if it would upgrade or just drop down...

This is one of the most stunning boutique hotels we've ever stayed in. The manager and staff were incredibly accommodating. We spent 4 nights there we enjoyed every moment of it.

-Location - literally one block west of the beach and one block east of the main street (restaurants, clubs, bars, shopping, etc.) , this was the perfect location for us.

-Rooms - Seems like the staff comes in at least 3 times a day to tidy the room. The rooms are a bit small but very well laid out and quiet. You can make it as dark or bright as you want. It's very easy to lose track of time in the room. The lighting controls take some time to get use to and we were easily able to set any mood with the lighting. The chandelier was an added bonus!

-Staff - One of the best hotel staffs available. Thomas, thanks for hooking us up with complimentary tickets to the clubs.

In all, I would highly, highly recommend staying here if you're going to Miami. You will be amazed with the location, decor, and service.
