We had a two hour morning tour with guide Robert. The tour was private for our mother, father and teenage daughter family and it was interesting and enjoying for all of us. That alone an accomplishment.
The guide Robert is a long time Miami Beach citizen and he truly loves his town. The tour is mostly about the architecture of the art deco district, but Robert was just as informative and interesting about the history of Miami Beach, from the swampy beginnings via prohibition days, gods waiting room, drug era and up to the present time.
You get to know a lot about art deco and the hotels, both from the outside and the inside. It is all very interesting and the fact that you are so few in the group makes it more of a discussion than listening to a guide just talking.
I have been on many guided tours in different cities around the world, this one is number one this far.
