A group of six decided it was time to visit Fogo since it is located one block away from where we live and it is always busy. Plans were made and off we went to experience our first churrascuria. Except for me, no one else in our party had been to an authentic Brazilain steakhouse. We were excited and somewhat intimiated by the thought on a meat onsluaght.

When we arrived at Fogo we were seated immediately. Drinks and wine were served promptly. The menu was descrbied and off we went to the bountiful salad bar. The offerings were plentiful and fresh: bright greens, lovely heart of palm, Waldorf salad (reminded me of my childhood), etc, etc. The salad bar was perfectly presented - very clean, very appetizing.

Before we knew it, we were being presented with skewers stacked with various meats. The gaucho style waiters were expert at presenting the paritulcar cuts of meat. Prime sirloin, filet mignon, chicken hearts (my ten year old is still talking about the fact that he ate a heart!), chicken. All of the offerings were presented, cooked and seasoned just right. One person in the party kept their "green card" face up - the pile of meat that accumulated was impressive.

Fogo and other Brazilian type steakhouses are for my taste, more of a special occassion venues. They are fun and create an atmosphere for conversation and some laughs. I just would not find myself dining at Fogo more than once a month - its a bit too much meat and too little in the way of other offerings. That is not a bad thing, it's just personal preference. The restaurant itself is lovely and the location ideal for anyone travelling south of fith in the Miami Beach area.

Best Wishes, Colin A. Burns

There is only one reason to go to a Brazilian steakhouse: meat. This place is no exception. The salad bar has plenty of offerings and they bring endless amounts of bread. All of those other offerings designed to prevent you from eating too much meat. It is fixed price food the meal but drinks and dessert are additional. The dinner was very good. The filet was exceedingly fatty , as we're the beef ribs. Everything else was excellent. If you are hungry for meat, this is your place.

This was the most delicious food ever!!! Be ready to be overwhelmed by the amount of choices and the constant service at your table. The first time you visit is always a bit scary because most people don't expect that there will always be someone at your table offering you something. The meats are so delicious and the best cuts available. Although the salad bar offers many choices, be careful how much you eat and what you choose to eat if you really want to enjoy eating the meats. Their caipirinhas are also mouth watering and worth the money.

This has to be the place to go if you like meat. They continually come around to the table with different meats to serve, and until you say stop with your red card, they'll keep on coming! The salad bar was also amazing with real quality items. Loved the cheese balls too. We both overate and could hardly walk by the end of the meal it was all so good. Excellent and would definitely go back here if we got the chance one day.

For an "all you can eat" restaurant, this is simply superb. The Salad bar is really top notch and the meat just keeps on coming and is very tasty. The whole experience was really really good.
There was no price on the menu, but at $48 per head, it was great value, i think its a must go...for the hungry.
