“Authentic Bath house experience”

Russian and Turkish Baths
Reviewed April 27, 2012

Spent the day at the Russian Bath House. This is an authentic bath house experience. Very reasonable priced. You can spend the day here, de-stressing and relaxing. We used the salt water jacuzzi with the massaging waterfall. Just what I needed to work the kinks out of my back and neck. They also have an assortment of wet and dry saunas that were wonderful. You can also take a break and sit by the pool or the ocean. We then paid for containers of black mud and smeared them on us and let it dry. After a shower our skin was baby soft! I loved the decor, very "grotto-like". This is different from the usual spa experience and definitely worth a visit. A piece of history.

We spent the evening here at the end of February and were not entirely impressed. The front desk did not accept our online ticket purchase on our smart phone and said they only accepted physical printouts - luckily there was a nice lady at the convenience store near by who allowed us to use her printer. The place probably has not been updated since the 70s and the staff seem indifferent - its not a big place so easy to navigate, and maybe we were put off by experience at the beginning, but I think the atmosphere would have been greatly improved if the staff seemed accessible, and weren't sjust soliciting massage services. They do have the standard jaccuzi, steam rooms, hamman, ice rooms which were just fine, nothing special. In general, having experienced other bathhouses in the Northeast, our overall impression here was not a good one.

Real Russian Bath House! Great services, great location, great food! Went there in the evening. Had an excellent massage given by Michelle (must make an appointment).
That night slept like a baby.

Received a gift card for the works. What an experience - unique. The message was beautiful; oiled the body; washed the hair; beat with small bushes in the steam room. You have to experience a Turkish Bath once in your life. The place could use an update, though. Overall an enjoyable experience. Would be fun with a friend to laugh together.

Salt water jacuzzi was great and so relaxing. Saunas were a bit hot, but the aromatherapy sauna definitely is worth trying. I felt very refreshed when finished. I wasn't quite brave enough to do the ice water over the head, but did do the rain shower to cool off. For $35.00 a day you get full use to come and go from 12 to midnight. Definitely need to have slippers! Staff nice, but not very informative as we spent most of our time walking around trying to figure out what was included and what wasnt. I didn't even realize till finished that they provided slippers. Remember, this is co-ed!
