Owner description: People watching is a great pastime in Miami's South Beach, which draws celebrities and beautiful people in skimpy swim attire to see and be seen. The wide and fine, white sand-covered beaches are popular spots for fashion photo shoots, so you're sure to see models. The area is known for its hip clubs and wild nightlife as well as numerous excellent restaurants.

“fun place”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

I have always enjoyed the south beach experience. you can stay at an up scale hotel or an art deco hotel on Ocean Ave. The Hotel Pelican has a great porch for lunch; many types of restaurants close by. Rental bikes are available for $5 an hour which can be parked at the numerious bike docking stations through out south beach. Go; you will enjoy.

“Senior Trip!”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

What another amazing trip we went on. The senior's from the center just love this place! we had gone on the Duck Tour there and saw allot of what Miami has to offer. The Rich & Famous homes too! the lounges and shopping on South Beach were fantastic! I love South Beach atmosphere, it's fast paced life style too!

“One of the nicest beaches in Miami”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

If you are in Miami, you have to go to South beach. Water is clear, fine white sand and very nice view. One of the prettiest beaches in Miamia and Florida.

“Fun on South Beach even for seniors”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

This area is so much fun for just walking and people watching. We were there over a weekend and more crowded but not bad at all as mostly families.

The concrete walkways are very wide and easy to walk and accesible for wheel chairs or walkers. Enough benches along the way to take a rest.

Very convenient to restaurants and bars on the street directly behind.

The beaches were very clean and easy to navigate.

Chairs, umbrellas and shelters available but costly with a chair $15. Bring a folding chair and umbrella if possible. Rest rooms are nearby, large and very clean. Also good for changing into swimsuit.

Warning: Bicyclers, skaters and skateboards are many and not so skilled so stay to the side. Frequently those on the many rentals seem to have little skill and weave in and out. Not trying to injure anyone but just not good riders. Saw more than one tumble.

Soft drinks were not so costly.

“South Beach at New Year”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

There is no better place to spend New Year! You don't need to spend a fortune on access into expensive 'all you can drink' clubs, just go down to this area and mingle with the crowds, the bars will let you in for a small sur-charge.
