“Beautiful beaches but that's where it ends”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

The streets are filthy. I can't understand why the city of south beach, Miami with its beautiful beaches does not clean there streets and especially there sidewalks. We are staying at the National hotel which is beautiful but once you walk the surrounding areas it actually smells. South Beach use to be known for its beauty, a perfect getaway with out leaving the United States . Why not take some of the tourist dollars and clean and landscape it ? Bring South Beach Back to its beauty. Also there are lots of empty store fronts which give the area a rundown and ghetto appearance and an unsafe feeling. Residences of South Beach call your local politicians get them moving to clean South Beach up before it gets more rundown. Has South Beach seen it's heyday? Maybe so?

“Do it once, twice if your young”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

The walk along Collins ave in south beach can be interesting. Lots of people watching. At night a little tricky with some very "suspect" characters saying a few too too many comments making us uncomfortable. The day time shopping is good, prices not special or sorse. Victoria secret had the same old stuff with the same price to match, not enough mens stores, lots of shoe stores with prices and products all over the map. The northern end of Collins, and the most southern end seemed clean and safe. The mid area, around 1oth seemed full of the wackiness. Being close to the beach, still a good place to stay as long as you feel good with the price of parking and the hotels. During the week hotels much mush cheaper. The Art Deco district may mean more to historians or those who grew up there or vacationed there in the Hey day. The traffic was insane especially in the road construction areas. Never think your going to get anywhere fast. I really don't need to go back. There are many more places to spend money and get more fun, action, shop and beach for the busck. The whole of Collins is decent to sight see on. See it once in the day and night.

“Okay place to stay”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

We had a hotel at collins avenue. It was nice location for hotel. It was easy to drive to many places from here. But the hotel we stayed wasn´t too great and actually we had one not so great experience there.

“Beautiful location”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

We stayed on Collin's Avenue at the Eden Roc. It was a great location to other very nice hotels in the same area. Our hotel was right next to Fountain Bleu which was a very nice property. Pricey, but the restaurants in that hotel are very good. You could catch a city bus to take you anywhere from that location. We used the city Transportation a lot during our stay and it was worth it. The high end hotels are on this rd and most are one the beach side.

“No. 1 People Watching Place”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

My trips to Miami wouldn't be complete without a day/night in South Beach. Take a tour through all the art deco hotels that will amaze you....I saw and stayed in several of them in the 60's and it's amazing how they have been revitalized. If you don't stay in one of them, at least have a drink at the bar. You never know what celebrity you will see. While you're on Collins Avenue, take a walk down Lincoln Road Mall. It's a pedestrian road filled with restaurants and shops. None are great....but if you have a meal or a drink at one of the restaurants you are sure to agree that it's the best people-watching place ever! Not too far from Collins Avenue and Lincoln Road Mall is Espanola Way. It's only 2 blocks long but has some nice restaurants that are much better than those on Lincoln Road Mall. Parking to walk around Collins Avenue can be tricky. There are several pay lots and lots of street parking....if you can find. Bring change or a credit card to use the street meters.
