The Official Art Deco tour sponsored by the Welcome Center was worth the 20 bucks. Our guide was entertaining, informative and appeared knowledgeable. He was a volunteer with the Miami Design Preservation League (a non-profit organization devoted to preserving, protecting, and promoting the cultural, social, economic, environmental and architectural integrity of the Miami Beach Architectural Historic District.) He did point out details one may have overlooked in the Art Deco movement. Don't go expecting a full blown art/architecture education in an hour and a half. Non-the-less the tour was entertaining and pleasurable.
