we walked up to this area nad checked out the small botanical gardens nearby. on our return, stopped in for the holocaust memorial. at first thought one would wonder why such a monument would be placed here.I understand there is a large jewish and central european decended population now living in south florida. we walked the grounds of the statuary and arcjhitectural elements in reverse. I did not vixit the info booth prior to our visit. the statuary is very compelling. as we wound up our walk at the beginning, the series of engraved stones that depict the beginnings of the genocide were wrenching and startling even to one familiar with the story of these events. you cant help but be disturbed moved and emotional after a visit to this site. A compelling reminder of the evil men can do to one another even while we spend time in a lush vacation paradise.
