great park!! highlights -- colorful, changing lights @ night, great bike riding, well manicured lawns, quick access to the beach, fun stuff for kids but relaxing for adults. What a view of Government Pass -- could watch the boats forever!!

Small park waterfront, has playground for kids, nicely manicured grounds. Stroller friendly--paved walkway. You can watch cruise ships come in and out and all the other water traffic. Nice walking area. Did not dine there, but it looked like a busy and happening spot infront of the steak house. Worth a leisurely stroll.

Beautiful views. There are rental bike stands all over SoBe that use a credit card. This is a great place to ride them. Lots of entertaining folks around.

Right at the end of the beach. You can walk all along the beach and look at the different brightly colored lifeguard stands and then end your walk at South Pointe Park. There is a pier (closed to the public, though not sure if that's enforced all the time) and parallel to the pier there are stones on which you could walk out into the ocean for a great view. The park has a couple of play spaces for kids (including a water park) and places for running/walking and biking. Right next to the bar is a restaurant which, while pricey, offers a gorgeous view of the water, but you could also always pack a picnic and eat in the park with the same view for much less. Definitely recommended if you're in the area.

Location, location, location. Whether you want to relax and watch the dogs play or enjoy the cruise ships glide by or the sun set, this is the place to be. A local favorite, few visitors make it this far south, but the trip is worth it.
