I am a 24 year old high school teacher. My good friend chose to spend her 24th birthday at the cleavlander. Unfortunately the "manager" was on a power tip and decided to deny her access to the bar stating that her ID did not look real. We had over 20 teachers altogether and she was the only one denied access even though we are all the same age. He said "it's my club and I have the right to deny access to whomever I want". He was rude and inconsiderate. We asked that he please verify with a police officer but he refused. The only competent employee was Rushod (sp?) and he was incredibly kind and understanding. This "manager" lost the bar over 20 loyal customers (all of us have consistently given business to the cleavlander in the past but not anymore...). Instead we ventured to mangoes where we were treated with respect. In the future, being rude and inconsiderate will not get you far at all in life and it most definitely will not get you customers. We are all school teachers and I'll tell you right now, if my students acted the way this power tripping "manager" did, they'd be kicked out of my classroom!
