Take a step back in time is what this was. In a wonderfully, civilised way, when one could step into a restaurant, away from the sizzling heat and humidity, and be treated as if you were their special guest, where every effort was made to ensure your comfort and delight. The setting is beautiful, where black and white photographs of various stages of the Beatles line the walls on the way to the restaurant, and the menu is displayed across the one wall off the restaurant. We had the 5 spice Asian salad, and the swordfish which was perfectly presented, perfectly prepared, the perfect quantity and was resoundingly delicious. Truth be told, as much as I would've indulged in the array of desserts, I could not. So delicious was my meal, I wanted to continue to savour the delicate flavours .... And I had no space!! Such is the delight of the Betsy, it is almost discourteous to discuss prices, but if you insist ... It is more than a bit more than if you walked a little further along where the restaurants offer giant cocktails and generic menus with arbitrary food. This was a treat. Well worth a visit, if you wish to be far from the madding crowd!
