“Good food and a nice variety”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

the Cafe at Books and Books has, like the bookstore, history as one of South Beach's staple restaurants. They have fresh flavorful food and you can't beat the people watching views on Lincoln Road. They have meals from sandwiches to full delicious entrées. It's a favorite for locals so you know the food is good and the place isn't a tourist trap.

“Delicious food, great bookstore”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

A great place for lunch and people watching on Lincoln Road. The food is fresh and healthy with many vegan offerings and the bonus is a trip into the bookstore for some great browsing! We will definitely go back!

“If you're vegan, support this cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

I searched for an online menu before visiting South Beach for the cafe connected to the Books & Books Bookstore (which, incidentally, is also well worth the visit if you're into independent bookstores). I only found information about the cafe, but no actual menu. With a spouse who is a picky eater and not vegan (yet, anyway...), I always need to find a few places we can both eat before we travel.

Not until I walked past the huge menu board at this place did I realize the extent to which it had vegan options. There were many permanent entrees, a few specials, and lots of sides and salads. They even had a vegan dessert. The food was pretty good and the dessert was awesome (carrot cake).

“Great and healthy chef Bernie cares”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

Great food. Take it from a local !!
We go there often and we have tried a variety of dishes.
The Key lime Pie is great ( mango flavor )
Lincoln Road seating.
Chef bernie is on top of his game.
Authentic and healthy food. you can buy the spicy sauces too and take them home :)

“Good food, but slow”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013 via mobile

Breakfast choices are good ... service is spotty and food delivery is really slow. Pretty good place to go if you have a couple of hours to kill ... not a place to go for a quick bit.
