First time in Miami 2013 Spring Break with the family. This is a fabulous hotel. However, I didn't think that the staff was friendly with the exception of the valet parking employees. They were wonderful, friendly, and very helpful! Although the breakfast was wonderful, it is quite pricey for a family of four.

Room Tip: The 7th floor has the audt pool, bar, and fitness center.

Dear Kimhicks40, thank you for reviewing your stay with us.
We are glad you have chosen our property on your first visit to Miami Beach and have enjoyed the overall facilities and amenities we have to offer guests. Providing the best customer service possible is a top priority for us at the Grand Beach Hotel. In this regard, we would like to offer our apologies if the service rendered to you during your recent visit has been anything less than that. We appreciate the positive feedback you have extended regarding your encounters with valet parking employees. We will certainly forward your comments to the attention of the appropriate department. It is unfortunate that our breakfast buffet offering has been to your taste but has proved a bit pricey for you and your family of four. As an alternative, we may recommend you to look into our breakfast packages as they have the price of the breakfast already included in the room rate. You may also step by our concierge desk and get useful recommendations on great breakfast places in the area. We hope you will find the information we have extended in our response as helpful and would be willing to visit us again in the future.

The quality and service of the hotel staff was exceptional! The one person that made our hotel stay a little sour was the Concierge Jun, he was very demeaning and rude. The first time I approached him, he didn't give me the acknowledgement or head nod to show that he knew I was there. I have worked in 4 star hotels and most recently worked on a 6 star luxury cruise line. I believe that every staff member should at least acknowledge the guest even if it is with a small head nod, or a three worded sentence like ill be with you in one moment, so that the guest is aware that he is occupied but knows the guest is waiting. I felt like he looked at me as if I wasn't as important as the other guest. I was on holiday's with my mother and even she felt his unaccepting negative vibe. Another occasion, I was looking for the house phone of the hotel to make a local call and asked him if I may use a phone, once again, looking down on me, he pointed to the phone on his desk and said "just press 9 than the number". I felt like I had been a nuisance to him and simply brushed me off. It was to the point that my last day of my stay I went out to the bell boys and asked them for assistance because I didn't even want to approach Jun, the Concierge. With other staff, I highly applaud every single one of them for the amazing experience and warm welcome, but Jun does not fit in the equation as the rest of the staff. Kudos to the two Russian boys at the Coffee corner, they were warm and friendly!

Room Tip: Choose a room that fits your budget, if you choose the non ocean view you will still get a fantastic...

We stayed here before a few years ago and I have to say the place hasn't aged much, the rooms with their beautiful white carpets are still clean and not visibly stained. The receptionists are polite and efficient albeit not extraordinary outgoing. All in all it is a pretty touristy hotel and as a guest you don't get the feeling that everybody would go out of his way for you, which is fine if you want to just relax in the sun. Some staff don't speak very good English which makes it sometimes difficult to get what you are asking for. They are trying to be helpful though.

The hotel is right at the beach and a 45-60 minute walk north of Lincoln Road and the action. It is relatively quiet and nice if you need your sleep in Miami. There are three pools at various temperatures which is very nice, and a few hot tubs. The beach area in front of the hotel isn't very spacy but sufficient and clean.
Breakfast is a la carte or buffet and okay. We had dinner once and weren't disappointed, the quality and presentation was very good although a bit on the expensive side. If you can sit outside it's beautiful, to dine inside isn't recommended, the atmosphere and furniture aren't very appealling, especially when you have to pay that much for dinner.

The rooms are nicely furnished and pretty spacious, no complaints here. We had a one bedroom suite with partial seaview.
The gym is okay, going for a run orwalk on the nearby boardwalk is perfect.
When checking out everything on the bill was correct which I like very much. I would also have liked if I had been asked if the stay was fine, if we enjoyed it but the staff was as court as during check in, not unfriendly but not very outgoing either. Maybe it is due to the language problem, there are almost no native English speakers :)

All in all a good alternative if you do not wish to spend a huge amount of money in MB (although the hotel doesn't come cheap exactly but it's still a bit cheaper than most SoBe hotels) and wish to be a little away from the noisy spots around Lincoln Road.

We would consider it again next time we're in MB.

Dear Leolimoncello2003, we appreciate you being a repeat guest of the Grand Beach Hotel.
We are pleased to read of your overall satisfying experience during your second stay on property with us. It is great we have managed to properly upkeep and maintain the outlook of our facilities and room accommodations, so you have been able to enjoy the same clean and fresh looking suite as you did the first time you visited our hotel a few years back. You are absolutely accurate in your evaluation of our property’s beachfront location. Our hotel is indeed located further north from South Beach; thus, allowing guests to enjoy a relaxing beach vacation with an easy access to South Beach, when desired. The nearby located Miami Beach Boardwalk is indeed a great alternative to the 24-hour onsite fitness center. Thank you for your positive feedback regarding our pool areas and the beach directly accessible from hotel premises. We are glad you have enjoyed the time spent in these areas during your recent stay. It is also great to read that our breakfast and dinner offerings have been to your taste. At the Grand Beach Hotel, we place great importance on providing a friendly and attentive customer service to guests. While we are happy you have not been particularly disappointed in your encounters with staff members, we are sorry to not have been able to deliver the above and beyond customer service you had expected. We appreciate your feedback in this regard and we shall forward it to management, so it can be taken into consideration in our training programs.
Thank you again for taking the time to review our property. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back onsite again upon your next visit to Miami Beach.

Had a very pleasant stay at the Grand Beach Hotel. Our room was huge with separate bed and seating areas with 2 tv's which was great. 2 bathrooms too was really helpful. Our room had a fantastic view of the ocean and Miami as well and we made great use of the balcony.

Not a cheap hotel, overall the service was good but $30 a night for parking was a lot to pay as was the additional $10 cost per chair and umbrella per day on the beach. The hotel restaurant was also very expensive for breakfast and dinner and although decent wasn't worthy of the high cost.

The location was a bit further away from South Beach than I realised and took about 10 mins in a cab for $15 each way. Not the end of the world but did add up if going out every night as there is nothing at all in walking distance of the hotel. The calm and quiet of the hotel plus private beach did make up for this though and we loved the adults only pool and hot tub on the 7th floor. Wish the pool bar up there had been open later than 7pm though!!

Definitely worth staying if you aren't looking to be right on top of the South Beach action.

Dear JonnyRedUK, we are glad you took the time to review our property as a result of your recent stay with us.
We are always happy to learn when our guests have had a joyful and pleasant experience on property. It has been our pleasure to deliver the best accommodations and services possible. We find it great that one of our standard room accommodations and the in-room amenities it has to offer, such as two full bathrooms, two televisions, a seating area, and a private balcony with a beautiful view of both the ocean and Miami has lived up to your expectations contributing to your good experience onsite. It is unfortunate, you have found some of the services at the hotel to be more on the expensive side. Typically, other hotels that offer complimentary beach chairs & valet parking do this because in addition to their standard rates, they charge a resort fee as well. At the Grand Beach Hotel, we do not charge a resort fee, because not all guests plan to use the beach chairs, valet parking etc. thus they should not be automatically charged for them. We pride ourselves on giving our guests the freedom of choosing the services they would like to use, as opposed to enforcing fixed, daily fees. Furthermore, we hope you would be happy to learn that we charge one of the lowest valet parking fees in the area. We appreciate the positive feedback you had to share regarding our beachfront location allowing for direct beach access from premises and the adults only tranquility pool available onsite. As an alternative to taking a taxi as a mean of transportation to South Beach, you may also use the public transportation available right across the street from the hotel. It runs 24 hours a day and costs only $2 per person each way.
We are thankful for the recommendation of our property you have extended to other travelers. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon and appreciate your business and feedback.

Just got back from spending 4 nights at Grand Beach. The rooms are really nice, and clean. The beds were very comfy. We stayed in a suite on the 20th floor, had a nice view of the beach from both rooms. The service was okay, we called down for more towels one day, and had to call them twice as they did not bring them up to us the first time we called.
The pools are very busy with children, the 21 and over pool was boring, small and crowded.
The beach is nice, not too busy, $20 for chair and umbrella rental-which in my opinion is ridiculous.
The location was good. There were 6 of us girls, and taxi rides to nightlife areas would cost around $13.
I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Dear Amanda_b_12154943, thank you for sharing your recent experience on property of the Grand Beach Hotel.
We are glad you have chosen the Grand Beach Hotel as your accommodation for your recent 4-night trip to Miami Beach. It is great to learn of your satisfaction with what one of our Penthouse suites has had to offer you and your co-travelers. We are happy you were pleased with the comfort of the room’s bedding and the nice views, which opened up from the room’s private balcony. Please accept our apologies for the delay in service upon your towel request. We sincerely hope this has been a onetime only occurrence during your visit. It is unfortunate you have been disappointed with our onsite pool areas, but we are glad the direct access to our beach area has managed to deliver the relaxing and quiet time in the sun you were seeking. At our property, we do indeed charge an additional fee for the beach chairs and umbrella rentals. We hope you would be happy to learn that in contrast to many other hotels, we do not charge guests resort fees. We pride ourselves at giving our guests the freedom to choose the services they would like to use on a daily basis rather than enforcing fixed daily fees.
We appreciate the recommendation you are willing to extend of our hotel as a suitable accommodation on Miami Beach. We hope you shall join us again soon for another pleasant stay onsite.

Everithyng was ok. Only parking fees was very high (30 dollars per day).
Beakfast is also expensive (22 dollars) but very good. But Miami is expensive.

It is clean. There is a pool and yacuzzi on 7 th floor and 2 pools and 2 yacuzzis an 1st floor. Before beach. Beach is also good.

Why umbrella does cost extra? I would expect it included, though it belongs to the hotel.

After all, if I travel to Miami again, I would stay there.

Great hotel BUt bad location to me. I paid $55.00 for breakfast for me and my daughter, too expensive for me. If you have deep pockets this is the hotel for you. You have to take a cab to go shopping and go to eat out. Excellent rooms and overall nice hotel, the staff is also excellent. The pools are excellent and great beach access.

Room Tip: The rooms do not have a microwave
