Visiting Miami in feb is definitevely not cheap but this place has the right combination between location and decent price. Just off Lincon rd, few steps from the beach it looks recently renovated and very clean. Service was kind and efficient. We stayed 2 nights in a standard room and 1 night in a junior suite both nice but the last one really superbe. Strongly reccommended if you 're looking for a nice 4 starts but not the right choice if you want a luxury treat

Well we just checked into The Cadet. I was not thrilled walking into our queen room ..... It's literally 10x10, if that.
It's clean and the location near the Fillmore is good, but between the view of the building next door, the construction, and the teeny room and micro-sized bathroom.....I'm not a happy camper.
I spoke to mgmt and they could move me across the hall, at a premium, of course!

The hotel is beautiful, location perfect (except for nearby construction work), and the room very clean and nicely decorated. The problems were the room and the bathroom were very small. Limited room for luggage and toilet articles. Bathtub small and toilet looked liked it belonged in a nursery school it was so small. Toilet seat lid would not stay up. Breakfast very expensive. Got a little feel of attitude from the front desk when we checked after we questioned charges on the bill for 4 breakfasts when we were only 2 and she took the order.

Room Tip: Our room looked onto a building about 10 feet away which was probably fine because of noise in the a...

Ok, I'll make this short and sweet, but honest.

We've stayed in the big resort luxury hotels before, so getting accustomed to this hotel we THOUGHT was going to be a challenge, but it wasn't -it was perfect! The rooms are average size (bathroom is a little small, but we made do), but it's clean, smells pleasant and nice.

The service was exceptional! The staff were extremely detail-oriented, waited on us hand & foot!

We walked everywhere, location is perfect!

I love this hotel!

The Cadet is a small boutique style hotel in a terrific location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was small but nicely furnished with a comfortable bed, nice decor with extra special touches like flowers on the bedside table and books on the shelves. Nightly service with Evian water and a few chocolates was much appreciated. We also enjoyed the garden and spa area as a relaxing spot to read after long walks on the beach. The hotel is ideally situated unless you want to have a pool and be right on the beach. There are numerous cafes, restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk, and the beach is only two blocks away. Two negatives: 1) on one of our five nights we could hear the people in the room beside us - really hear them - every word at 3 a.m. - felt like a voyeur! and 2) the small fridge - a real bonus - was not completely clean when we moved in, and dust bunnies were occasionaly visible on the bathroom floor after it was 'cleaned.' Nonetheless, for much less than your typical SoBe hotel, the Cadet offers good value and a great base to enjoy all that the area has to offer.

Room Tip: second floor facing the spa gets you away from street noise, but no elevator don't bring too ma...

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. I have never been to Miami Beach and could not get over the prices for some of the hotels. What is interesting is that many of these hotels are over $200 a night and you are not even on the beach, you have to walk at least a block. This hotel was less than $200 and I only had to walk two blocks to the beach. When we arrived there were grapes waiting for us and a personalized note welcoming us to the hotel. Later on there was chocolate on our bed, a note giving us the weather outlook during our stay, ice in our ice bucket, and bottled water. These are small things that show me that they truly value their customers. There is a very nice Jacuzzi on the property but it closes at 7:00 p.m. because some of the rooms face the Jacuzzi. They also have a nice patio where my friends and I played cards. If you stay here ask for a room that does not face the street, we did not have this issue but my friends faced the street and on a party night it can get loud. There is no pool but who needs it with the gorgeous beach two blocks away. The hotel will provide you with towels and you can rent a beach chair on the beach for $11 (you can have the chair until 5:00 p.m.). This location is within walking distance of lots of stores and restaurants on Lincoln Road and South Beach. The cab ride from Miami International Airport is around 30 minutes and cost $33. All in all, we will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Choose one that does not face the street or Jacuzzi.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel which was close to everything in Miami Beach, nothing wrong with the hotel but we had the worst weather ever. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Ricardo was great receptionist.

Room Tip: I think all rooms were ok although the back is probably the best for quiet.
