We came to Lincoln Rd in Sept of 2011 (not June of 2012 - I had to pick the latest date to post my review) - we were staying at the Holiday Inn Biscayne Bay and decided to cross the street and catch the bus to Lincoln Blvd. NICE walk around, plenty to do. LOTS of places to shop and eat and dance AND people watch. We ate at the Tiramesu Italian restaurant and it was awesome. Got a lot for our buck...drank red wine and people watched. Catched the bus back to the hotel later on that night - felt safe.

Lincoln Rd is always fun, and with so many stores and things to see and do, you will come out of there broke and exhausted!

The place has it all. It is the perfect combination of shops and outdoor cafes all in one spot. First thing: Parking!!! Look for the side streets for plenty of parking close to the action. Most accept credit cards or cash. Lots of high end shops mixed with the usual shops of clothing and jewelry. Best part is just sitting with friends and/or family at one of the outdoor cafes/restaurants. Sit close to the walkway and see all kinds of interesting people. See models! - TV/Movie stars! - other interesting/strange people.

Shopping is one of my least favorite activities (unless it's online). But...we had so much fun perusing the shops on this street. That it is an outdoor pedestrian promenade adds to its fun. You will find both shops that you can only find in a handful of other places in the world and shops you can find at your own mall at home. I best liked the Taschen publisher bookstore and the Peter Lik photography gallery. Both were amazing...truly, I feel lucky to have experienced them. My only complaint is that the salespeople in most of the shops were overly and obnoxiously pushy.
