I spent two nights there over New years eve.

Good: Location, view from outside

Poor: Everything else, just don't go inside! Could be a nice place if there would have been a renovation since the 1930's additional to the addition of the first air condition available on the market! It sounds like you have a jet engine in your room, but it does not provide any cool air (positiv though is the fact that with this equipment active you might not hear the surrounding noise). The fridge also does not cool anything, it is just the only (small) cabinet in the room, but it has some light.
The design of the bath room looks like somebody had been killed. The bath room itself host a broad variety of species you might have not seen before.

After reading all the reviews, we were expecting the worst hotel experience ever. To our surprise, the room was not bad at all. It was old and rundown, but for the location, the price cannot be beat. The room was overall pretty clean, although the carpet did smell a bit moldy and there were a few stray hairs in the bathroom. We didn't see one bug during our stay. Our room was in the back of the hotel, away from Ocean Drive, so it was very quiet. There was also a nice new flat screen tv. I don't know that I'd want to stay there for a more than a couple of nights, but for our purposes (to be in the heart of South Beach), it was a fine hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back of the hotel to avoid the noise of Ocean Drive.

Me and my husband were supposed to stay at the Boulevard hotel for 4 nights, but checked out the first night. The room was TOTALLY moldy, the stench was HORRIBLE! All our clothes smelled of mold/mildew and we had to take them straight to dry cleaning/laundry specialists. There were hair in the bathroom, the carpets are horrible, the room is super dirty. I´ve stayed in +50 motels and hotels all over the world, and this was the worst place I´ve ever set my foot. Avoid this place at all costs, it´s HORRIBLE!!!!!! I have no idea how they´re even allowed to keep it going, the healt inspectors should shut it down, since it´s not only nasty, but a serious healt hazard for ppl allergic to mold. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, seriously!!!!!!!!

I seen 2 cockroaches in the first 5 mins of my arrival these roaches were big like half of my fist no lie!!! The room was dirty had stains everywhere the room stank like dead carcass was tucked under the dirty carpet! I do not suggest this place to no body!!! the location was great the staff was friendly but the rooms *barf sound* No!!! I ended up only getting changed in that room did not sleep in it stayed on the beach until check out time :( waste of time! I wouldnt even go back and rent that room if they gave it to me for 25 cents!!! 1 MILLION THUMBS DOWN TO THE HOTEL AND 1 MILLION THUMBS DOWN FOR THE ROACHES WHO DIDNT EVEN HELP ME PAY FOR THE ROOM THAT NIGHT!!!

Room Tip: Anyone but this one will do! I rather bunk with the ninja turtles in the closest sewer than be in th...

I wish I saw these reviews before My trip.
Bought package because it was inexpensive. I found out why. I expected a cheap cinder block room ,a little out of date.I got a room that was beyond dirty. Nasty pillow cases, towels that were stained, smelly room. It was a busy weekend and knew it would be hard to find a place. Lysol sprayed the room and figured if we can go camping we can make it threw this. In the middle of the second night we heard dripping turned on the light to see water coming out of the ceiling fan. The closet had water running in it and all our clothes were soaked. The water smelled bad.We were in 217 and there were rooms over us. Don't know how the rain was getting to us but the hall was dripping also.2am when the front desk clerk said she could move us. The other room smelled worse and there were roaches in the hall. We had enough. I put my stuff in the dry room and walked to other hotels in the area It was pouring down rain and 3 am when I found a room. While I was moving the fire alarm went off twice and the clerk turned it off. She was sitting on the porch out front talking to someone I had to tell her the phone on the desk was ringing. I can't believe she turned off the alarm and sat outside. If the building was on fire I guess she was safe out there. How bad could it have burned it was raining inside. I came back at 10:15 to see a manager and they said he was coming in late. When He arrived I asked them if he was the manger and he said no. Then asked why I didn't just stay in the other room.I said he was nuts it was a pig sty .Then I had xxxxx call and talk to them. They got the manager ,same guy, to refund 2 nights out of three. They should have returned all of it. My clothes were wet and I was going hotel to hotel at 3 am to find a room. This hotel is a hazard and needs to be closed. The people that eat on the sidewalk restaurant for this hotel really need to look inside before they eat here.
I wouldn't recommend this to my dog or even the bum sleeping in the park even if it was free. xxxxx should remove them from listing here so others don't end up like us.
The world would be a better place if this hotel was washed into the sea and a city dump put in it's place.

I cannot recommend strongly enough for anyone thinking of booking this hotel - DON'T DO IT!! It is horrific... Dirty, smelly, cramped, staff who don't give a --, hot, noisy... the list goes on. I actually cried when i saw my room - nothing like on the website or Expedia's website... it was filthy. There were stains on the bed and the floor, pubic hairs on the seat of the toilet, a dead mashed fly on one of the towels in the bathroom, someone had obviously been picking their nose in bed and wiping it on the wall next to the bed - gross enough, but even grosser was that this was not cleaned prior to new guests taking on the room. There were at least 2 cockroaches that we saw. There were bars on our window which just faced the wall of another building - no view at all. When we complained to staff they did not give a damn. The rest of the hotel was awful too, there were several leaks from the ceiling - where water was coming through staff had just dumped piles of towels to soak up the water which wasn't doing a great job as there was still water on the floors which anyone could have easily slipped on.
Nightmare hotel, even if you just want a base hotel that you're not intending of spending any time at, i urge you to find somewhere else and save yourself the hassle of wasting your money here. We were booked here for 6 nights but as soon as we arrived we rang our travel agent and demanded to be moved, although due to the time of night they couldn't find us anywhere until the following day so we had to endure one night here. We didn't sleep, it was just awful.

Room Tip: Just don't book here!
