Owner description: Our professional airboat guides will take you on a personalized, educational airboat tour covering approximately 9 miles of this unique environment. We first go into the vast open saw grass where you will see why the Everglades are called the "River of Grass"! You will travel by Airboat through a Hardwood Hammock (a small island of solid ground in the "river of grass"), into the Everglades National Park stopping at alligator holes and seeing the abundance of 'glades wildlife. See the Purple Gallanule voted the most colorful bird in Florida and the endangered Everglade Snail Kite as well as herons, grackles, turtles, raccoons and other Everglades residents! The Everglades are a truly unique and vibrant environment which you can only experience first hand! Unless you brought your hip waders, a private airboat tour is the best way to see it! (And much drier, too!) After this fascinating and educational airboat tour, relax and enjoy a taste of 'Down Home' cooking, Everglades-style. The Coopertown Restaurant offers such delicacies as frog legs, 'gator tail, catfish and more! All served in a friendly country manner that is distinctly "Floridian". "Belly up" to the bar and meet the folks of Coopertown! Learn some of the fascinating history of the area, and check out the guest book to see who else has passed through and enjoyed a ride on a Coopertown Airboat! Take a closer look at these fascinating creatures in our Alligator Exhibit! What a cute little guy! Popular enough to have a college mascot named for it! A ride on an airboat is the best way to Check out the rest of the gator population in Coopertown

We really enjoyed our ride on the air boat with Mike. He was very informative, professional and helped us understand the Everglades past, present and future. Saw alligators and bait was not used, everything was in the natural surroundings of the Everglades. This was on our bucket list and so glad we picked Coopertown Air Boat Rides to experience this. Good value for the cost of the tickets.

Attended the airboat tour and Ray our tour guide gave us a fantastic tour of the Everglades where we saw over a dozen alligators along with other wild life, very informative and no rush.

Thanks Ray for recommending where we could visit and see Manatee's in the wild, would highly recommend.

We came in later in the day, we decided to do a private tour because of our time constraints. The staff were flexible and our trip was organized quickly and easily. Mike took us out, he was very informative, he was a man who loves his job, this shows on the tour. His enthusiasm for the gators is contagious. The kids learnt quite a lot and loved zooming around on the airboat. We managed to see a number of gators, a red hawk and some other birds. My only complaint would be when I called enroute to enquire about the cost of the tours we were quoted a price, when we got to the desk to go on our tour the price changed and was fifty dollars extra. This company is an older established company which is one of the reasons we chose it, I'm sure the prices don't change that frequently, the staff should all know the costs, if a price is quoted that's what it should be.
I would visit again but would want a definite price confirmation beforehand.

I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting, but I came away a somehow disappointed. We were party of four and the rest of my group was rather satisfied to be fair. We saw many alligators but .... all of them were submerged so we never had a chance to see the animals in full. This was not our tour guide’s fault, but having seen many pictures of alligators in Everglades I was expecting to see them walking around freely. The air boat ride was fun, but noisy, but again it is not their fault that’s how the air boats work. Bottom line: we were amazed at how close the alligators come to the boat. You could reach out and pet one if you wished (don’t do it!).

As there are so many air boat places around Everglades I did some research beforehand to find the best place. Many people recommended Coopertown, and so we went.
It was the best experience. We paid 20 $ per. adult and we were taken on a long boat ride to the swamp and saw two alligators.
The guide who took us were a lot of fun and took his time to answer our questions and told a lot of things about the nature and the gators.
They also have some different animals you can watch either before you take the ride, or afterwards.
One thing though, if you have some ear plugs of your own - bring them. You only get cotton balls for your ears here.
