my husband and I had a 24 hour lay over on the way back from Anguilla, so we chose to stay 3 nights in Miami .we asked a biker on the street where was a good place to eat. he sent us to el cristo restaurant . well what a treat needless to say that was the only place we ate for 3 days sangria was homemade and we enjoyed the maduros and ropa vieja . A must when in Miami, nice job.

I really liked EL Cristo. the food is authentic Cuban and the service was terrific the staff was accommodating, friendly and made you feel "en casa". yes, they are heavy on the garlic but we didn't mind. The best part was the price. 2 of us ate with 2 drinks, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees all for $26 and change. yummy

This place is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Authentic Cuban food and right in the heart of Little Havana. Great place to grab a cafecito, flan and then light a smoke at one of the many cigar bars.

Good service but too much garlic and oil on the food. I will not return there. I went with my extended family and even if they serve plenty food, they were not satisfy neither with the quality of it.

El Cristo was highly recommended in our guide book, so we had lunch there. Even though the restaurant was 75% empty (we were there a bit after lunch hour), the service was terribly slow. We had an empanada, a fish and shrimp ceviche and the Cuban sandwich. The food was quite average, nothing out of the ordinary and not very flavorful. We found the Cuban food at Versailles to be MUCH better.
