“Unbelievable Service!”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

This is a great hotel with great service. Very close to the airport. Far away from "conveniences", but if you are just needing a place to relax this is it. I was upgraded to a beautiful room that overlooked the bay and had scenery that made my business get done a lot faster. The hotel was getting some remodeling done but didn't take away from the modern look. Food was tasty and moderately priced for Miami. Would definately stay again. The shuttle from the airport is the BLUE AND GRAY van ... just in case you are looking for it! Don't call down to the front desk late at night - they seem to be very busy and can't handle the call (which is strange) but all in all the service is impeccable. I went back to the airport the next day and rented a car to go to South Beach which was only a few miles away and then over to Magic Casino (Smoke Free!) just because I had some free time.

Room Tip: Rm 960 facing the airport you will hear the airplanes. Who cares when you see the beautiful lights!

Great place to stay in Miami. Well located, not so far from the beaches, and very comfortable. I recommend. My unique bad experience was that I was charged by putting some products in the refrigerator.

Room Tip: View to the lagoon.

The only reason I rated this place a 3 is because the hotel food was a bit better than a lot of other chain hotel properties. Otherwise, it really only deserves a 2. And I've done my fair share of staying at hotels, since I travel a lot for work and leisure.

First, this hotel is very close to the airport, which is convenient if you're here for a quick stay, but not so convenient as far as noise level goes. It's not too bad, but there are flights taking off/landing late into the night and early morning.

Also, I received a coupon for complimentary waters in my room, but none were placed in my room when I got there. I called for the waters three times before I got some.

The balcony door was unlocked and slightly open when I got in...not exactly safe and there were bugs that had gotten in. The door was also hard to open and close.

Some of my TV channels were messed up and since the cable is received via Lodgenet, they couldn't fix it. An engineer said he'd have to call them to find out why it's happening. No one every followed up.

I called room service the second night and no one picked up. I called four times. I then called guest services....no one picked up. I called the front desk, no one picked up and somehow, it got transferred to guest services, so I told them that I called room service a few times and no one picked up, so they transferred me, but again no one picked up. I finally called room service again and got through.

I would not recommend this property. Hilton, you can do a lot better. Customers - you can do better by choosing another hotel in this location (there are several others) or further away from the airport.

Seriously, this is a hidden gem! I usually stay in 4 star hotels in South Beach, but this location can compete with the best of them! The outside pool was big, clean and private - on its own peninsula on the water!! The room was spacious and had 4 star accomodations - lovely linens, firm & comfy bed, big flat screens with full movie selections and fabulous rainshower in the bathroom. All the employees were very friendly and accomodating from the front desk, to the pool to the restuarant. By the way - the morning buffet is well worth the price with fresh omlettes and strong coffee! For the price, you could stay here and afford to rent a car to drive to South Beach or to the Keys. This Hilton is currently undergoing a lot of building improvements, including the pool area and the lobby bar which will make it an even better deal to hangout in Miami Beach. Worth much more than just a business or pre/post cruise stopover! Check it out!

Room Tip: Ask if a room is available overlooking the pool, the water, and downtown Miami in the distance which...

This was a one night stay before going on a cruise with 3 other couples. We had stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago before our last cruise and really enjoyed the pool area so came back this year again. The hotel is undergoing some renovations so it wasn't as good as last time. The poolside bar was closed as they were filming some sort of commercial and the people at the bar were rather rude about telling you they were closed. This was a Friday at 4pm on a hot day with people coming in from the airport looking forward to the start of their holiday! A simple sign would have made a world of difference. The bartender Thomas was so overworked, he was set up in a temporary location, was working alone, had to serve drinks, he had to go to another location to ring up charges, pretty sad for a busy place like that. He was trying his best but pretty hard to keep up.
The restaurant is ok but expensive. The rooms are nice, roomy & clean. The airport shuttle is also very handy.

Room Tip: get a room overlooking the pool

The hotel is very nice, and the shuttle service was great as well. Room service was very efficient and good quality for dinner. We went to the restaurant but they could not seat us for a while even though there were only a few people sitting down. They said that there was some sort of problem with the kitchen and the dining room working together or getting meals out. We decided to give up on the restaurant and go for room service. The room service was a bit on the pricy side but worth it. Beds were very comfortable and the staff were friendly.

I've been in better - been in worse. V handy for the airport with a free shuttle bus ( handy hint - you have to flag it down there are no specified stops. Looking out for it as far left as you can walk is better otherwise when it does pass you it's full!). However being close to the airport does have its downsides. The building literally vibrates when a plane flies directly over. Not all the time and you get used to it. As I said... It's ok!
Renovations are ongoing so probably unfair to judge the decor however I've had better food. Again - ok. Ideal for an airport stay over not great if you want a weeks vacation.

They do run a shuttle bus for around 13 dollars to the Dolphin Mall. V handy service. The mall isn't the best one ive been too - more outlook stores than major chains... But hey guess what ... It's ok and good of the hotel to do.

I stayed on the 14th floor. Good size room but tiny wardrobe... Perfect for a stop over where you don't unpack your bags.
