“Luxury at the airport and the iIguanas are a treat to watch.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

2nd stay for my husband and I at this airport hotel post cruise and we will definitely stay here again. Hotel staff are all super friendly, courteous and only to happy to assist. Hotel is beautifully clean throughout including the public areas and pool locations. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby was hit and miss – I had trouble several times connecting but I suspect it was due to heavy traffic as it was quite busy in the lobby areas at the times I was trying to connect.

Generally, here’s what else we found:

Efficient and friendly check-in and very friendly helpful luggage assistant folks. The lobby is a great place to sit and people watch and there is a snack type place that you can purchase coffee sandwiches etc. There is also a small gift shop with candies, chips, snacks and icecream items as well as hand luggage, teeshirts and other sundries. Mostly overpriced I thought but that is the norm for a hotel giftshop. Loved the Hershey cookies and cream white chocolate bars!

The restaurant and bar are reasonably priced and the food we had was excellent. We tried the chicken wings, grilled sandwich item and also had a full chicken dinner there.

Our room was on the 10th floor, overlooking the lagoon and airport. It was lovely to sit and watch the airport activity and the planes taking off. Noise was not too much of a factor and we only really noticed noise when one of the jumbo cargo type planes took. The room itself was a good size with a King bed, flatscreen tv, fridge, safe, long glass table and office chair, arm chair and foot rest/seat and chest of drawers. There was also a dressing area with sink and a large walk/roll in shower (the room was adapted for special needs folks). We also had a door that opened to the balcony though it was not wide enough to have a chair on but it was nice to stand outside and overlook the area. The room had plenty of lamps and lighting and a few spare electrical outlets –something I usually find there are not enough of in a lot of hotels these days.

Room was cleaned and maintained very well and it was nice to go to breakfast come back and find the room had already been tidied.

The pool area is huge with plenty of towels, a bar (though it was closed during our stay), a hot tub, lots of shaded areas, loungers, tables and chairs. There is a washroom and change area by the pool which is useful if you need to check-out and have somewhere to spend a few hours before continuing on with travel. The music around the pool seemed to have been a tad too loud during the 2nd day of our stay but it was easy enough to move to a spot away from the speakers. The lizards and iguana’s making appearences near the foliage were neat to see too; some of the iguana’s were the largest we have seen in a long time. Nice areas to walk or jog around too alongside the lagoon.

Definitely a great luxury stay near the airport and we look forward to returning again one day.

we booked the hotel for 9 nights, we paid for three adults and they only give us double bedroom room, if so, we could sneak in the third person for free, but we wanted to have our own beds because of the long stay. the staff weren't friendly when we asked them for extra bed and they didn't offer us anything for the inconvenience. they just stole 600$ extra for nothing. moreover, they didn't clean the room everyday, we had to ask them for it.

it's good for one night stay, not recommended for long stay.

My flight to Cancun was canceled and AA gave us this place to crash after been all day at the airport and was just for sleep, the hotel seems to be full and as a Hilton Honor member the guy at the front desk was very nice and fast, they had to book several flights and did it fast also they upgrade me to a Jr. suite that was more than welcome I can't say too much about spa or gym because was just for sleep but I did like a baby, the bed very comfy, living room and desk for work nice amenities and shuttle for the airport so this is a very classic hotel and you cant be wrong with it
as an airport hotel it is a luxury one

Overall hotel is clean, updated and staff is friendly. Received an upgrade to a nice suite when I asked as an Honors Diamond member. Nice room, well appointed and spacious. The bar needs some serious work and the food was awful, but I understand they have plans for a new bar soon.
Ask for a room on the "quiet side" where the airplane noise is somewhat reduced.
Overall, a good place to stay for business and an overnight in the area.

Room Tip: Plane noise can be an issue. The front of the hotel is quieter.

We have stayed for one night before visiting other places nearby. It's a great place to stay overnight. Free shuttle to/from airport (every 15'). Free wifi connection in lobby and restaurant. Clean and spacious room. We have dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and it was great!
It is a hotel for one night a bit far from city. However perfect after a long flight. Next morning we took the shuttle back to airport in order to get our rental car.

This is the 4th time that I have used this Hilton location for business and pleasure. Service was excellent they really make you feel welcome. Hopefully the new bar renovation will be completed soon that will make for a great entertaining area. My wife and I went Xmas shopping. They have a shuttle 4 times a day to take you to the Dolphin mall 1/3rd the price of a taxi very helpful and great driver. Room service was so fast I barely had time to shower and shave before the food arrived. Breakfast is enough to get you through the day good spread and tasty food. We bought some fragile items and the concierge came through with some packing material at the last hour for us big thanks go there. Front desk staff very helpful and make you feel like a guest especially if you are a returning guest and H Honors member. Location is great to the airport and Mall a bit out of the way for South Beach $ 45.00 taxi ride each way. We will be back next week this time for business. Highly recommend this Hotel for proximity and comfort.

Room Tip: Try and get a high room and a corner suite.

It is no doubt to say that this is Hilton standard, high quality of services by all means and the staffs are well educated enough to welcome executives from all over the world. Thanks to you, I was privileged complementary free Wi-Fi, continental breakfast, high floor and late checkout services as a hhonor gold VIP member, although I booked at the cheapest rate through the Octopus travel.
The bed is comfy and amenities are adequate. I found the amenities at Hilton hotels are all the same in the world such as in Australia, in Thailand, in Colombia and in Japan. This means that Hilton hotels bring universal comfort to us all the time as though travellers came back to their own family homes.
Actually Hilton quality sometimes varies but Hilton Miami Airport is gained high marks in my so many Hilton experiences.
