We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay recently for personal travel. Whether you have a car or opt to get around by taxi, limo, Uber or the Metro Mover, the hotel is in a great location — close to South Beach, downtown Miami, American Airlines Arena and Bayside Marketplace. There is also a Publix Super Market within walking distance. In addition, there are several really nice restaurants on the property as well as specialty shops, a salon and spa.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were not greeted by anyone outside the hotel or at the door but as soon as we walked in, Guest Services Ambassador, Tamara Acuna, immediately greeted us with her great smile, enthusiasm, professionalism and positive energy. When Tamara learned we were there to celebrate a birthday, she made us feel even more welcomed. Other staff members at the front desk who assisted us during our check-in and stay provided helpful and courteous service also.

As Hilton Honors Gold members, we received the standard benefits for members (e.g., bottled water, late checkout, in-room WiFi, etc.). We were also eligible for an upgrade so the front desk staff member contacted Tamara regarding the upgrade. Our upgraded guest room/condo was great! The condo was spacious with nice views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. There was a beautiful outdoor balcony that extended from the living room to the master bedroom. It was impossible not to sit out there every morning as it was such a peaceful and relaxing space. I also have to mention the showers because of the massage jets and handheld showerhead with the temperature display. Overall, it was just a great space. The floor we were on was relatively quiet and the property was clean and well maintained throughout.

This was my first time staying at the Doubletree by Hilton Grand Biscayne Bay. I would definitely stay at this property again. Kudos to the staff and a huge hug and many thanks to Tamara for welcoming and greeting us in such a heartfelt way and for making our stay and our experience memorable (did I mention champagne and balloons)!

We loved the size of our room. Great pool . Not huge but lots of chairs to enjoy the sun. Amazing breakfast at the fro. Entrance and Starbucks. Friendly staff. Valet parking is pricey but convenient. Walking distance to everything you need or Uber

zero negatives for this hotel. Clean , updated, and great location. However, the staff is more than excellent. They are very happy to go out of their way to ensure your needs are met. Ricky at the front desk made me feel like a VIP.......very nice experience while there. The restaurant/bar staff are excellent and professional. 5 stars all around.

The check in staff are polite and they welcome you. They don't own the place, so I don't expect them to move mountains. There's a lot of construction going on. The room/floor we had, needed to be renovated. The location is great, but this property doesn't live up to the brand name. They charge $30 a night to park and that's in addition to room rate. The valet staff was rude. The sad part is that you can really see the potential. I hear that the condos are already renovated.

The a/c messed up about three times they had to use a vacuum cleaner and they woke up my daughter that’s 7 months old because of it and the house keeping did not do a good job won’t stay here again horrible
