Room 856 includes 2 double beds and a balcony overlooking Miami Beach and the bay. It is a beautiful view. The hotel is dark, drab, and rather dated. The front desk is exceptional and Freddy provided extra assistance when requested. The room was clean, however, the furniture is dated, the cabinet doors do not close all the way and there is a limited number of electrical outlets.
Food and restaurants are bountiful in within a stone's throw and a brisk walk to the American Airlines Arena is very doable. The MetroMover is within walking distance from the hotel and is a safe and convenient way to go to downtown Miami.
Now for the bad... I had pre ordered amenities prior to my arrival through hilton.com and not a single amenity arrived. All I requested was 4 extra packets of coffee and coffee condiments and nothing was delivered to the room. Very bad.
The pool area is beautiful and there are 4 individual hot tubs within one giant hot tub area.
The work out area and fitness center is a full gym with free weights and machines.
I would stay here again for one night (it is an excellent pre cruise hotel) and would not stay here for an extended stay.More
