Stayed here with my granddaughter while looking at colleges. The best part of the stay was the pool which was nice. No free breakfast, thought is was because there's a restaurant on-site but the food there was terrible, should have guessed that when I noticed there were no customers and only one waitress that was doing nothing but chatting with friends. Surprised to see a charge for the in room safe even though I didn't use it and the only hotel I've ever stayed at that charged for parking. I guess they do that to make up for the affordable room rates.

We are sorry for any inconvenience which you may have had.
The restaurant is independently owned and even though adjacent to the hotel has different owners. The hotel is ion no way associated with he restaurant.
The hotel advertises everywhere that breakfast is at a cost since the restaurant does not belong to restaurant.
We also advertise and have signs that there is a charge for the parking and safe. The sign also reads that if you ask the hoel can remove these charges.

Before I begin, let me say I am an employee at a Days Inn in Canada. I only paid employee pricing, and thank goodness, because otherwise i would have demanded a refund and taken my business else where.

The general look of the hotel seems okay, except for the fact that everything is under construction, so we hoped we were going into the right spot, as there was no sign and its a weird side entrance. The front desk agent wasnt very friendly, she made us come back downstairs to get our interent password instead of calling it up to us, and forgot to let us know only one person can use the log in. Then we found out the pool isnt available, which sucked. While walking to the elevator (which is the worst location, you need to go all the way to the other side of the hotel to get to the creaky, old, smelly elevator.) we noticed the hotel seemed dirty. The floors could use a mop/vacuum, and there was this general stink smell throughout the hotel. When we finally got to our room, i could not wait to shower as i had been travelling all day. However, the bathtub was absolutely disgusting. The bottom was full of dirt and filth. The bathroom floor was dingy, hadnt been properly vacuumed, little hairs everywhere and grimy. The sink was gross too, hair in the sink, grime around the taps. It was nasty. I did not get to shower because it was so gross. The carpet in our room stunk, it was in serious need of a shampoo. Our beds seemed clean enough, thank goodness, but they werent very comfortable. All in all, the housekeeping staff needs to step up their game. This was a very unpleasant stay and i will not be staying here again! I would rather pay full price for a decent hotel than use my employee discount and have to sleep in these conditions.

Dear Valued Guest,

We are sorry that you had a bad experience at the restaurant located next door. However, please be advised that this restaurant has nothing to do with the hotel and is independently owned an operated.

As regards the room that you stayed in, enclosed please find photos of the bathtub, the room furniture, carpet and Flat Screen TV. As you can see, the room is in fine condition and we have had no complaints both before and after your stay.

You, moreover, took issue to having to come down to the front desk to get a secure password for our super high speed Internet, which currently measures at 89 mb bandwidth, an extremely fast and efficient system well above both brand standards and most hotels of any brand. The need to come down to the front desk relates to the print out of a secure password for your own protection. This is the way are Internet is made for security reasons at the highly trafficked airport area.

If your issue is with Maracas Place, we apologize for that, but again, this is an independently owned and operated.

Thank you for your input and as a gesture of our gratitude for this input we would like to offer you a 10% discount on your next stay in Miami.
