“Good food, bad expierence”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

It was way too dark inside which always makes me suspicious and not to mention sleepy. We were unable to read the menu and asked to be moved to a table with more light. Several people were using their cell phones as lights so that they could read the menu.. come on management.. it's just too dark. The waiter, while efficient, I can only describe as the "karate chop man". His gestures with a stiff hand and chopping movements while speaking and referencing items on the menu and table were very awkward and borderline threatening. The food was quite good, but I don't think that we will be returning.

“Creative Delicious Ceviche”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

We went to the Jaguar recently for a special event and it was exceptional, again. There are a few truly wonderful ceviche restaurants in Miami and this is sure one of them. Since there are some other outstanding restaurants in the Grove, I don't want to get in a rut, but it is hard not to get pulled back to the Jag.

All of the ceviche offerings are great and it is tough to pick a favorite. The Tiradita Nikkei was almost too beautiful to eat, but is was gone in an instant. In addition to the fresh seafood, we added some grilled beef to the feast and washed everything down with a tasty and spicy tempranillo.

Service was attentive and friendly and everybody was having a great time.

I look forward to going back to try more from the menu. If you are going to eat in the Grove, you should give this place a try, if only to enjoy one of the ceviche samplers.

“favorite place in the Grove”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

I have been several times to this place and never had anything less than an exceptional meal. The only hard part is keeping straight which ceviche is which if ordering the sampler. Nice venue for business or pleasure.

“Fun!”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

I've been here just a couple of times and I have to say the food is pretty good! I love the skinny margaritas there. It's great to go on a weekend with friends for a fun dinner - great atmosphere! There is also good outdoor seating. The service has been good when I've gone - especially considering how busy the restaurant was - the waiters are very attentive. I'd recommend!

“Delicious but slow”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

We made reservations, but arrived here early and didn't need them. We sat outside, but were a little disappointed by the constant clanking from the parking garage next door. Our food was delicious - we shared the ceviche taster, mom got the salmon norma, and I had a mambo mango shrimp salad (shrimp had tails), and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. It was a bit pricey, but the kicker was the super slow service. Unfortunately we kept seeing the table behind us being served, but our service was running later and later and the waiter kept forgetting to bring us things like milk for our coffee. At one point he almost handed us someone else's check. We were completely understanding of the delay- it was busy- but seeing the table of guys behind us with constant service from our waiter (friends?) was a little irritating. I would definitely eat here again though!
