We went here after doing the anhinga trail in the real Everglades national park. There we saw alligators and birds in their natural environment.
I can't recommend the gator park due to three reasons:
1)The airboats are overloaded 20people and the ride is very short (15-20min)
2)You don't see any wildlife because there are so many airboats that the noise distracts all of them. Even worse is the fact, that our airboat driver fed alligators and birds, so that they come out and tourist can see them!!!
3) there is an alligator show after the boat ride. But you don't learn anything about them and you can see that the captured alligator there really suffers. He looked as he were numb and didn't reacted at all. Maybe because he was under temperatures because there was no sunlight in his cage.

So all in all don't go there if you want to waste your money. Only go there if you have only 1h time for your visit and want to see an alligator and ride an airboat.

Well this tour takes you on an airboat that glides through the everglades. The tour guide pointed out birds, gators and other wildlife along the way. They give you earplugs so the loud motor isn't really an issue. After the boatride a performer with a great sense of humor wrestled an alligator and also brought a scorpion and baby alligator around to the audience. The only downside would be if you do not see an alligator while on the boat tour, or If you rent a zip car in South Beach this trip will take around 2-2.5 hours with traffic, especially if they're still doing all of that construction on the small highway leading into the park. The boatride is fast and windy so wear a sweatshirt and the hot sauce in the gift shop (with the gator foot hanging off of it) is nice and hot if thats what you're looking for. They also allow you to buy beer and drink during the boat ride. All in all worth the trip from South Beach.

We paid $55 per person for this tour which included the bus ride from our Miami hotel. Our hotel concierge didn't inform us about his 4.5% fee, so I would recommend getting your tickets at one of the tourist attractions booths at the Bayside Market. They were offering a $10 discount that we should have taken! The bus driver was funny, friendly and very informative. Took about 30 minutes to get there. The first thing we saw was a beautiful peacock walk up to our bus. We were each given ear plugs and tour numbers as we got off the bus. We loaded the airboats and were taken on a 45 minute tour of the everglades. Our guide would stop and point out turtles, baby gators, birds, plants and anything else we came across. It was a pretty cool experience although very quick. After getting off the boats, we were taken over to a little show with live gators. After the show you could hold a baby gator and take your own picture for a $3 donation. We then could walk around the grounds and see a few exhibits they had. You could purchase food, drinks, t-shirts and souvenirs in the gift shop. Food was mediocre at best and kind of pricey. I would recommend you take your own. They do have picnic tables outside where you could enjoy a nice picnic lunch. Our driver never gave us a time to meet back at the bus so we ended up waiting on 3 people who took their time eating lunch. All in all, we were there about 4 1/2 hrs before our drive back. I would have rated this higher if it hadn't cost so much. If we had paid $20 each like others ave mentioned, it would have been well worth it. I guess our bus ride cost us $30 each? That wasn't worth it.

With four adults and 5 kids we decided to pay a little more and opt for the private tour. The tour guide was funny as hell yet informative of the wildlife. He also went the extra mile to make sure the kids saw a few alligators. Worth checking out if you want to see the Everglades.

I drove with my girlfriend from Miami to check this place out after hearing about it from the hotel. The drive was a bit longer than I expected but the airboat ride and the wildlife was well worth it. We probably saw 7 or 8 gators and had a great time doing it. Check out the alligator show after. Worth the 20 bucks for a few hours of fun!
