Beautiful sunny, almost cool afternoon in MIami and we noticed a big sign on the street for BOCCE BAR. And right behind the sign was a real bocce court-I think it is called a court-but a strip of grass. It was a little late for lunch, not too crowded, and we wandered in. The title tells you everything-authentic Italian.
It was great. The room is spectacular, (beams imported from Italy, tiles from Florence, chef from Venice) the service impeccable and friendly, and the food really was delicious. I had a 'spreadable spicy salami' named Njuda. Never heard of it before. It was really tasty. My wife's salad was wonderful, and full of new flavors and tastes. The entire meal was filled with flavorful surprises.
It just opened a month ago, and if it is not packed yet, it will be soon. Really worth a visit!

“Great food and ambiance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2014

Had an amazing meal at Bocce Bar. We started with the Ricotta Di Bufala, with pumpkin and shaved truffle. Ricotta is usually bland but the other ingredients elevated it. It was slightly sweet and creamy. We also had the Thumbelina Carrots with mascarpone and pistachio granola. Delicious! The sweetness of the carrots comes through and the granola adds a lovely crunch. We also shared the Orecchiette duck sugo with roasted butternut squash, which was my favorite dish. And we also shared the Grilled Swordfish with tomato fregola, preserved lemon, capers. The fish was cooked to perfection. The service was good. The servers were familiar with the menu and explained the concept of small plates the restaurant has. It is on the expensive side because you end up ordering many things, but definitely worth it. My only complaint: the music is too loud.

“great spot to eat, amazing floors”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

Not only was this a delicious meal, the ambiance was amazing. The tapas like food was delicious and the drinks were creative. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Like you were sitting at a cafe in Italy. They had the coolest tile on the floor and the wall - they said were sourced from a company that reclaimed them from villas in Europe, and were from the 1800s, so cool.

I definitely will go back!
