Location: Brickell

Pros:
Excellent food
Good Service
Excellent outdoor seating on a quiet plaza
Great Menu and wine list

Cons:
Slow pace
Pricy

Summary:
A Beautiful new restaurant located on a nice plasa on Brickell. The outdoor seating is lovely in the evenig facing a calm gurgling fountain/water feature. The food is excellent, however, they are still working out the kinks with the service. That being said, the restaurant is only a few months old and our server was quite attentive even if she forgot a few things here and there. The wine list is great with a nice selection of wines from around the world. I recommend the Kobe beef grilled at the table on a salt brick that comes burining hot right from the oven. The crudos were also very nice as was the polenta and the mushroom ragu. I would certainly go back.

We visited Lippi after searching fine dining reviews on trip advisor. On the last night of our Cayman/Miami holiday we wanted a meal we would remember and Lippi did not disappoint. The staff in our hotel had not heard of Lippi but this is due to the fact that it is still quite new. I am sure if our experience is anything to go by the word will spread.

The restaurant is in downtown Miami and is modern with a really cool vibe. We had drinks at the bar before being seated at out table. We chose to eat inside and the setting was great. The service was good and the food fantastic. As earlier reviews mention the portion sizes are not large by American standards but we were more than happy with all we ordered. We had a full 3 course meal and the soufflé is not to be missed.

If I had to put any negative, though the music is great and adds to the mood it needs the volume turning down slightly.

We would recommend Lippi and hope to visit again soon

Lippi continues to set a new standard for fine cuisine, great service, and beautiful amosphere. Whether you order your meals in a traditional, per person fashion, or if you wish to share with a group, there will be many fine choices on Chef Ruiz' eclectic menu. From two octopus offerings to truffles in your eggs or on your pizza, superb fish, both fin and shell, raw or cooked, the fist courses will astound you. A large variety of salads and grains will satisfy any veggie foodie as well as making for sumptous sides. The duck, lamb, beef (two kinds) and even the organ meats are all of the finest quality. The bone-in NY Strip beats any steak house in town (yes, even those on the same street!). Do not miss this exciting place!

small plates served- food was very good- service was fair- music way too loud- be careful those small plates add up fast and it becomes a very expensive meal, they need to turn down the music and serve more regular sized plates otherwise it is a place that people will only come to once.

Tucked in the heart of Miami's of-the-moment downtown financial center, Lippi elevates otherwise tiresome tapas to glamorous gourmet heights.
