We visit this La Carreta location on every visit to Miami for authentic Cuban food and some of the best cuban coffee in Miami. Outside by the coffee bar you can have an expresso coffee or cortadito. Top those off with croquettes or a pastelito made of guayaba and you are set with a quick snack any time of the day. Inside at the restaurant or the eating counter the food is quite varied in selection. The cuban sandwich and the media noche are as good if not better than any other restaurant in Miami ( only Versailles has has them better). The Puerco Asado (Roast Pork) is very good as a sandwich or as a plate with black beans and rice. The bistec de Palomilla while very tasty was not as tender as it should be when we ate there last time. The soups, beans and maduro are excellent as they should be. The portions are large. The service is very friendly and attentive. They have a happy hour on drinks, buy on get one free.
