So simple, such a delight, great service, food extremely well done. Park in rear. Authentic Peruvian dishes served straight from the grill.

“Wonderful ceviche!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2010

The "little lamppost" is a small. clean and fresh "white tablecloth" family restaurant that has been at this location for a shocking 24 years. I do not know whether they have recently renovated, but the dining room (and a glimpse of the kitchen) look as fresh as if they had just opened for the first time yesterday.

We started by sharing the wonderfully fresh mixed ceviche, with Peruvian corn and sweet potato. Next time (there will be one soon), we'll try a Tiradito.

For entrees, we each ordered grilled fish, me with Cilantro sauce and my wife with onion and tomato. The fish was described as "sea bass," which is one of those names that can mean almost anything. I do not know whether it was really "sea bass," but it was a fresh and well prepared filet. My wife, who is one of the women who is always "full" halfway through her entree, polished off her fish. We both had thought our fish had arrived "over-sauced," but we both finished off almost all of our respective sauces before moving on to dessert.

Dessert offerings are typical wonderfully-sweet Peruvian joys, many featuring dulce de leche.

And the final accounting ... dinner for two (sharing the wonderful ceviche starter and a dessert), including 2 glasses of house wine and a single cortadito: $80 including tax and tip.

Amazing!

“good food, good service, great value”

Much better than other fancier Peruvian restaurants in Miami. The ceviche was quite good, and so was the lomo saltado with tacu tacu. The service is very friendly. I will be back!
