This place has been around forever, and the food is very authentic and with excellent taste. A bit pricey for Cuban food but the portions are good size and with excellent taste. You must try the Bakery next door, the Cuban pastries are to die for. Get ready to wait because this place is well known and has a lot of followers.

Had a good breakfast with the family and I would certainly go back. The place has a neat, old look to it and the food was very well priced and prepared well.
One thing I would say is that if you don't like a loud breakfast, then you may not want to eat here. They can seat a great deal of people (without feeling crowded), so without a carpet or something else to drown out the noise level it may be too much for some folks?
It was fine for us because the menu was good, service was awesome and location is not too far from where we stayed.

Read plenty of reviews about being the best Cuban place in Miami, so figured to make the trip and see for myself. Glad we did decide to stop in for lunch and a traditionl Cuban cortodito. This is a odd multi building eatery with a main dinning room, a cuban coffee bar with counter service to the street and a cafe bakery with more coffee options. Surprisingly this establishment takes the entire block of this Little Havana neighborhood. The food was authentic and simple. Really enjoyed the chicken empanadas, plantains and the seafood paella the best. Ham croquetts were ok, just not the best thing ordered. The entire place is full of locals and then you have a handful the visiting tourist. This is not a fancy place and more of what I would consider a diner. I think the locals tend to dress up a bit more here as if it were family dinner. The bakery had key lime pie which was quite good. I think the cuban coffee was the highlight and the lines of people are proof of it's popularity. The surrounding neighborhood can be a bit unique with building heavily fortified with security bars across all windows, so even though this place is open late, make sure you have an idea of where you are or need to go at night. You would not want to get lost here. There are also 2 cafe versalles at MIA airport that serve espresso and empanadas which are jsut as good. This place is a good value. Actually I did not think the place was expensive at all even at airport locations. The menu is vast so be prepared on deciding. The sampler was interesting to try 6 different cuban items. The mojitos were good and came with actual sugar cane. Worth a trip if in Miami.

Great place for Cuban food. Roast Cuban pork ,dirty rice. Have been eating here for 30 years it always the same great service and food. My wife has the fried beef steaks and rice which is to large to eat so come ready to eat. when your through with dinner walk next door to the pastry shop for espresso guava pastry or flan one of the many sweets the make.
