“Awesome!”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

The hotel is beautifully remodeled, the room was very clean with nice, comfortable beds. The view from the bedroom was beautiful, overlooking Biscayne bay and the Port of Miami. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great, close to nice restaurants and right on the vibrant downtown area.
I will definitely come back and recommend it to everybody.

This is a downtown very busy high turnover hotel. Always long lines at reception. No concierge. Rooms small but modern and clean. Although a younger hotel lots of wear and tear. We used this as a one night stop prior to a cruise and this was close by with. A $6 shuttle to the cruise dock. There is only two elevators in a tall building so you have to be patient tosay the least

Room Tip: The elevator limitations make this a very difficult place to stay

Good morning manunited45:

And thank you for your review. I'm glad you found our property to be functional and decent. However the team at b2 miami will not rest until that statement becomes something along the lines of "fantastic, amazing or awesome".

I hope I have the chance to host you the next time you pass by Miami so we can deliver just that. Until them, B well!

After a week-long cruise, we stayed at this hotel for New Year's Eve to watch the Big Orange. The hotel was very well-priced for the superb location--right across the street from the festivities in the Bayfront Park, all in walking distance. Although we planned to only stay for one night, we were so impressed with the rooms, service and location; we went online to book two more nights at b2 and immediately canceled our other hotel reservations. Our first room was a double bed City-View on the 6th floor. We were on the corner of the hotel and could see some of the park and the mall. Our second room was double bed Bay-View on the 10th floor. Here we had a perfect view of Big Orange and could have watched from the room the night before. Both views were outstanding. The rooms were a decent size for three adults; however, the bathrooms were very small; you could not dress in them. They reminded us of hotel bathrooms in Europe, both in size and modern design. The closets were different in each room. The city view room had a narrow deep closet, while the bay view room had a wide shallow closet. We had 5 pieces of luggage (3 large, 2 carry-ons) and they did not all fit into either closet. The modern design of the furnishings didn’t allow for drawers or storage for long-term visits. You’d have to live out of your suitcases, and they’d be on the floor. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, but went in the watch a little of the football game. The atmosphere was casual and crowed due to the holidays. Overall the hotel was not very large, but the look and feel of it didn’t make you feel closed in or crowded. The style was modern and the Christmas decorations were beautiful and modern as well. Everything about this hotel was pleasant and comfortable; we would definitely stay here again. It met our needs and exceeded our expectations.

All of the services were equally as impressive. The valet service was well-worth the $30 ($25+tax) per night charge. Each valet we had provided gold-star service. They greeted us with a smile and enthusiasm as they welcome us to the hotel, or bid us farewell. Each time, they opened the door for all passengers and sent us off with a smile and a warm welcome back. Ramon was especially friendly and made us feel like old friends. He gave us good information about the area while we waited for our car, and maintained a professional courtesy the entire time. From the front desk, Betsy and Stan set the tone in the hotel with the friendly welcome and speedy check-in/check-out process. They provided great information regarding the amenities in the hotel and things to do in the area, and even a little humor. Carlos, Daniel, and David were our bellhops for the time we spent there. They continued with the gold-star treatment. Each one went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. They were professional, friendly, and managed our luggage with care. Upon arrival, Daniel helped us bring in our luggage from the car; and on final departure, he escorted us down the elevator with our bags to expedite our checkout. This was a busy morning for all the staff due to a large crowd of teenage athletes checking out of the hotel that day. What was awesome is that it did not impede their excellent service in any way and the proactive decision to escort people in the elevator made for a smooth transition and no stress for the customers. Since we only booked for the one night, and changed our room type for the next two nights, we had to check-out and wait for check-in for the next room. The staff made this easy for us. David took our luggage and stored it for the day while we went out sightseeing. Upon our return, Carlos offered to take our bags up to the room while we were doing something downstairs. When we got to the room, he was carefully placing the luggage in the room. He was friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. We asked several questions about things to do. He told us about a concert across the street and a good place to eat. The entire staff was outstanding, right down to housekeeping on the 6th floor. One of the housekeeping staff greeted us on the morning of our first check-out. She was super friendly and offered up some humor to get the day going. I wish I had her name, because she should be mentioned.

Thank you b2 for such great service. You made our vacation memorable.

Room Tip: Pick a bayfront view. You can see the city and the bay.

Good morning Ambassador1:

Thank you very much for taking the time to review b2 miami downtown. I can see you enjoyed two of our room catergories to include the Captivating double, facing the Biscayne Bay. Indeed the view is just that, captivating.

I am glad you found the property and the staff to exceed your expectations. I look forward to welcoming you back to Miami, where you should b2!

This hotel looks nice and modern. They had a couple giant tablet PCs on the wall in the lobby where you can print out your boarding passes for your return flight. The rooms are somewhat small and the bathroom is even tighter with the toilet roll almost touching the toilet. It is probably the smallest bathroom I've seen at a hotel but felt clean and very modern. The only reasonable parking available is the valet parking (which was really slow and expensive.. be prepared to tack on about $35/night). The first morning we waited around 2 hours for our car. Street parking is a real chore since you'd have to maintain the meter. Service in general was pretty slow for us. When we first arrived, it took forever(I'd estimate 15 minutes) for the front desk clerk to even acknowledge our existence while we waited for him to take care of the one person in front of us. No one wants to feel ignored. The elevator was ridiculously slow. Expect some wait times for the two elevators. Overall, our experience was mediocre.

If you check in see if you can get a corner room in the top somewhere. Loved the view over Biscayne bay and the port !
The bed was very comfy and the room tiny but clean. Worth the visit on a pre of after cruise stay. We wouldnt have minded staying a few more nights as the area is very up and coming
Very helpful and friendly staff. And the breakfast in tavern (we had the buffet) was outstanding

Good afternoon:

I am glad you got to enjoy one of our 'stunning' corner rooms. The dual view of downtown and the bay are definitely just that, stunning. Thank you very much for your comments regarding our staff and our signature restaurant, the BIscayne Tavern. Both teams are crucial to our success and it's great to see they are exceeding our guests' expectations.

I hope next time we have you stay for more than just one night. I look forward to meeting you on your next visit.
