I was taken to Dr Limon by a Pervian friend whilst on a short trip to Miami from the UK. The location is not high class, parking is tight but the food and service more than make up for this.
We asked for a starter of crushed potato with chopped octopus and olive sauce... superb. Then on to a ceviche sampler plate with four variations on the ceviche theme. Excellent and abundant. The combination of the fresh fish, lime, chile and onions wakes up the taste buds and washed down with cold beer makes a meal to remember. Then dessert: a delicate passion fruit creme brulee, and a dulce de leche topped with meringue, both great and surprisingly not too heavy.
Dr Limon is obviously just starting out, open 6 months, but if they keep up the quality and service they deserve to go far. We were well attended by Daniel who took time to explain to a non-Peruvian the ins and outs of choclo amongst other varieties of maize, fish and sauces.
Loved it and will be back on my next visit.
