Description: Simply delicious. Waiting for you in Miami River's trendy Neo Lofts, Jamon Iberico Pata Negra Restaurant offers a little bit of Spain right in the heart of Miami. Cured Iberian pig's legs ornament the ceiling. Delectable products are showcased in glass cases inviting to be savored. Artwork and Spanish regalia adorn the walls. This hole-in-the-wall, in the typical Spanish tradition serves as both a restaurant, as well as, a jamoneria. With an emphasis on everything Spanish, executive chef and owner, Felipe Perez, offers the best in traditional, Spanish cuisine. Decades of culinary experience, Felipe and his staff focus on passionately preserving authentic, Spanish flavors. The gastronomic temptations of Spain are represented in the restaurant's rich menu. Serving regional favorites: tapas, paellas, meats and seafood, the restaurant also possesses a broad array of fine quality Spanish wines. Friendly service, intimate ambiance and good food harkens back to, as chef Felipe would describe his beloved homeland, "magical Spain".

We Knowing the Spanish food and the suggestive title of this restaurant, we went to have lunch with Spanish tapas and good wine. Is located near the Miami River in Downtown. We tried the 5 J Iberian ham, scrambled eggs with chorizo, garlic shrimp, served with bread of Galicia, Tempranillo wine, the Crema Catalana very good. Excellent Attention and suggestions were good. We recommend this restaurant.

We had lunch here today, and I must say it was excellent. Great atmosphere, great food and excellent service. The only downside is finding it as it is well tucked away from the normal tourist spots. We were fortunate in that my Aunt was meeting a friend who lives in the Neo Lofts, above the restaurant, so we were treated very well with the owner/chef coming out to introduce himself to us (although I understand he does this to most of his customers). The set lunch was excellent value three courses for the equivalent of £10.00, great choices and all cooked from fresh. Well worth a visit, reminded me of some of the old Bodegas we used to frequent in Spain.

We at at Jamon Iberico last night because of the good reviews and weren't disappointed. It started with the wonderful smell from the kitchen when we entered the restaurant.

We started our meal with an excellent mixed salad followed by a really delicious dish called Huevos Rotos (Broken Eggs) with serrano ham - we just loved it.

Then Felipe, the owner and chef, came out of the kitchen to greet us at our table. I felt like he was our long lost cousin. He is the warmest, friendliest chef/owner.

We then tried a few tapas. Octopus - decent, not great. Fried calamari - ordinary (don't try it). Mushrooms in garlic - very interesting. It was like eating escargot in boiling garlic butter, but without the escargot.

We had a lovely time and will surely go back to try other items on the varied menu.

A little piece of Spain in Miami, it is nearly impossible to find an authentic unadulterated Spanish restaurant in Miami, and I say nearly because I finally did, it feels like home....be
st rice outside Spain.... Do yourself a favor...go.
