“Beautiful and tropical!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

The setting and history of the Deering Estate is unforgetable. I go every year for some event or just to tour the old place again. Take a picnic to enjoy by the bay after the tour.

“Beautiful location, historic house”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

The Deering Estate is right on the bay and has stunning views of the water. You can often see manatees in the basin at the foot of the garden. there is a lovely boardwalk/nature trail plus you can rent canoes/kayaks. The house is very historic, try to take a free guided tour and learn about the secret wine cellar in the basement. They routinely have concerts/art events/festivals here so try to catch one if you can. Membership is affordable, about $65 a year for a couple and gives you access any time. Take a picnic lunch and sit under the palm trees and just chill!

“Gorgeous Spot In Miami”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

This is a great spot to check out on a cool day because it's mostly walking the scenic grounds. Very interesting old Florida history. Lots of nature walking is expected so bring comfortable clothing
