My wife was looking for something really special for her 40th birthday. We went back and forth between a weekend getaway alone, just the two of us without the kids, or a birthday party. Finally, she decided that some alone time would be just the thing we needed. Being from the Tampa Bay area, we thought a nice weekend in Miami would be the pefect place to spend the weekend. I chose the Conrad Miami based upon reading prior reviews. Let me tell you, I was elated I did! What a beautiful hotel!! The rooms are gorgeous! The hotel was fabulous!. And finally, the staff and service are top-notced. Our stay began with our room being upgraded and no charge. Denise checked us in and was so professional and courteous and also walked us to the elevator and said she would be availabe throughout our weekend stay. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and was so eager to assist us. George who was one of the bellmen, was also a pleasure to talk to and very helpful in suggesting places to see and things to do while in the Miami area. The location of the hotel being downtown and located just off of Biscayne Bay was also centrally located to all of the main Miami attractions. This hotel was definitely the right choice to make! When visiting Miami again, there is no doubt this will be the place we will stay!

I must start off buy saying that this property is mainly targeted for the business customer and long stay's. Its not meant for the leisure traveller.

Its located in downtown Miami with 30 seconds walking distance from the monorail.

The lobby is on the 25th floor. Try and ask for an upgrade and you might end up in one of the many residences. They are superb. Well equipped with perfect kitchen. Generally this is meant for the long term customers.

Internet is slow. Breakfast is very good and will cost you about 30USD.

Parking is a nightmare. Valet is 45USD for a day while self parking will be 24USD above 10 hours and that will not be hard to reach if u go to bed.

All in all this is a very nice hotel with good design and a perfect elegant atmosphere.

Hard to believe that a top flight hotel still has crappy tv's in guest rooms. Especially, given that this is in the hilton family and all the other down stream properties have upgraded in room equipment.

The coffee in the restaurant is surprising blah and crappy since the property is in Miami and there are numerous local coffee sources.

This is still a beautiful property, but it sure could use a little TLC. I will likely look to the intercontinental or other property for my next trip.

Hotel settings are perfect in Miami business district. Staff is extremely helpful, overall hotel equipment is perfect.
THE big issue is noise. Form outside first, as rooms overlook a king of helicopter like machine producing air conditioning. You basically have the impression to sleep in front of an airport.
From inside first, as doors are extremely thin, and any person chatting in the corridor seems to talk to you in your bed.
If you first expect to sleep when you are in an hotel, do not go there...

The room I had was decent. It smelled somewhat moldy initialy but seem to be fine after a while. The rooms are not sound proof. The bathrooms were huge. Great view of the city or Biscayne Bay. You have to take an elevator to the 25th floor to get to the front desk and then you have to take another elevator to get to your room. You have to go to the 25th floor to get to and from your room. Parking at this hotel will run you about $37 a day if you use valet parking. The area that surrounds the Conrad has lots of restaurants, shops, and bars. It's in the Miami financial district, so everything seems to be a little pricey. The service at teh hotel was very good. It's about 15 minutes from South Beach.

We loved our stay at the Conrad Hotel. We only wish it was longer and that we hadn't gotten in so late. The American Express deal that we got was an amazing value. We would highly recommend staying here and would definately stay there again. We almost extended our vacation by a day just to stay another night and spend some time relaxing on the property and at the pool.

A friend and I extended our cruise vacation by staying 3 days in Miami. The Conrad is beautifully appointed; attention to detail in the artwork in common areas, right down to gloriously scented candles burning invitingly by elevators. Be alert that 15% gratuity is built in to poolside drinks and food, as well as at bar . . . a very relaxing, restful stay.
