“An art gallery for all tastes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

There are so many galleries, it takes a few days to visit all the art galleries. New restaurants appear weekly giving you a new option each month for the art walks. Fun for the whole family.

“Evolving, energetic, emerging”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

Over recent years Wynwood has begun a bit of a renaissance which may well eventually compare to South Beach's turnaround beginning in the 80's. An influx of art and design gives the neighborhood a lively, funky vibe (and expensive—Art Basel holds some of its events in and around Wynwood). On the more day-by-day level, lots of creative little shops and indie restaurants have begun popping up on the streets surrounding the conventional Midtown Miami (Target, Marshall's, and dozens of other shops much the same as any other boring mall). Some may consider the outer edges grittier, less refined—I prefer them. For my tastes, too many of the more central restaurants are a bit overpriced—that's how development works. Meh. Still, given that just a few years ago it was almost all rundown, abandoned buildings, and that now it's a quite vibrant hub of shopping, art, food, and high-price-high-rise residential, overall it's a much, much better community.

I don,t know what to say... If you're a fan of street art this is a must see ! It is everywhere in wynwood district, there is so much to see... We spent 2 days there and did not even find time to visit the galleries ! You could definitely sepnd a week there...

The area is really big, we started by foot and finished by car. I don't see how you can make it all by foot. Be sure to print the map from the wynwood website if you want to be sure to see it all.

It is not the safest place, you should go in the day. After about 6-7 pm, there's almost no one there and we were glad to be in a car... Be carefull.

“Moveover South Beach !!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

This area is the Hangout of the locals.. Our own "SoHo" in Miami... I've been in Miami 36 years and have seen areas such as South Beach, The Grove, Weston Doral and many other places Grow with the Times... But Wynwood ?... This area was a fairly scary area to go into before... Now, you are witnessing the growth of the future when it come to Art Galleries.. Check it out.. There’s food everywhere Drinks, Bars, hangouts.. My suggestion is all you Locals take advantage now and enjoy it cause it just the beginning of an ERA... in less than 5 years it will be another South Beach for Tourists.. Enjoy it while it's a NEW HANGOUT..
