“Amazing experience!”
Reviewed January 29, 2012

I rarely praise any restaurant for good service because I expect it in a first place . But I must give a credit to Villa Mayfair - it was absolutely amazing experience! Emmanuel (a general manager) went far and beyond to make that evening memorable for us after he found out that I was celebrating my birthday. Service was impeccable. Food was great as well. It is not cheap by any means but I do not mind to pay for great service and good food. Ambiance reminds W hotels - trendy and hip. We came back a day after for drinks and Emmanuel got us something that was not even on a menu (pan seared foie gras). Once again we had a great experience while visiting Miami and VM became our favorite spot.

“Beautiful restaurant, poor to mediocre food!!”
Reviewed January 25, 2012

Groupon coupons as everyone in the main diningroom had them too! Beautiful room, changing colored lights, prices were outrageous for the tiny portions-entres from $28.00-totally ala carte menu. Chilean Bass is always a safe, but bland and slimmy was the result. Raisin rolls were so tough and rubbery, not hard, you could have bounced them off the floor. The dessert arrived, delicious, but about the size of a small chocolate cookie-$17.00!
The saving grace was our waiter whom we recognized from other restaurants that came and went....and so will this one too! I give it 6 months, well maybe not even. Too many other choices with delicious better priced food in Miami. When the bill arrived, they charged the tax on food without discount and 18% gratuity. So the bill came to $50.00 + the price of the coupons-what a joke!!!
