There isn't enough room to describe how bad this hotel was. We were checking in and there were two naked kids running around swimming in the pool, then we look and one of them is poop beside the pool. It stayed there for quite sometime. The room was disguisting and the door wasn't very secure. NASTY is an understatment. It looked like a room that prostitutes use!! Spend the extra $20 a night and stay at the Holiday Inn Express.

I was appaulled that a hotel like this exists.
BIG mistake on choosing them from the Ad board with phones, at Miami airport. But every other hotel was full. I am shocked that they are even allowed to advertise at the airport!
We took the hotel, without looking of course, thinking that at least they had a large pool. When we arrived, we were upset to see that the pool wasn't even clean. Never saw anyone check the water, or even skim the dead leaves, film, and insects from it. No one dared swim in it!
The hallways were depressing, and downright frightening. Wet, stained, dirty carpet and walls. We had no choice, it was late night, and to go out on their roadway location, looked dangerous.
The room we got was dirty, the bathroom with leaking pipes and full of mold. Water ran constantly, and so the room was humid and musty. Rotted wood peeled off. We were charged, with no choice, for an old safe bolted in the room, that was totally unusable. Also, we were billed for a 'micro-fridge', that was non-existent.
It rained, and water poured into the common hallways, like a flood. We literally had to walk through the dirty water, to get in and out of the place!
Continental breakfast? Dry sliced white bread, with a pat of butter. Black coffee, not even any milk for it. Felt like I was in prison. Nothing for kids, no juice, no milk, no cereal. BUT the little 'adjoining' store had bottles of water....for $4! I was afraid to ask the price of a juice, after that quote. We walked to a gas station, and gladly bought ourselves a decent breakfast & drink.
The internet is only available in their reception hallway. So people had to crowd in their on the few chairs they had, to use it.
We are seasoned travelers, have been all over the world.
But I have never seen anything like this in my life.
I would not even give one star, but had to at least put one, to enter this comment.
PLEASE, sleep at the airport, if this is your only choice!
Beware, the internet site I researched afterwards, is totally deceptive. It made hell, look like paradise*
( Just wish I had taken photos, to post!)

I attended a conference at the Miami Beach Hotel, but because all the hotels in town were full we ended up at the airways airport hotel. What a terrible experience! we were booked in a back room which was dark, lonely, dirty and torn up carpets not to mention the bathroom, I was so afraid to go in. I asked for a room change. After a lenghty discussion, I was given another one upstairs, not much better, wet slimy water was running from the capet outside continuously, the room was smelly, I could not sleep for the entire 3 nights, I scorned the sheets, the bathroom, and I just could not eat any food on the property. This hotel needs to be visited by the authority and struck from the list of reputable hotels.

I was looking for an inexpensive place near the airport since I was only in Miami one night. As I approached the hotel (dump is more like it) I knew this was not for me. I did not feel safe here. The clerk did not have my reservation (thank god) and I went to the Holiday Inn down the street. The lobby of the Airways was in very poor condition. I would not let an animal stay at this hotel. Spend the extra bucks to stay someplace clean and safe. I can only imagine what the rooms were like. If they cannot spend any money to fix this up (my guess is the last renovation was in the 70's) they should demolish it! I still got charged for the stay since I booked through Expedia (shame on them) and see that this must be how they make their money (double or triple booking the same rooms). RUN, don't walk from this place!
